His impact has been so great that Kristian Beyer of Âme claimed recently in an interview that: “Thanks to Mano Le Tough, I have no fears for the future of House”. And not just Beyer, the entire Innervisions gang including Âme and Dixon have become fervent supporters of Mano Le Tough’s warm and melodic, yet driving sound. Who is the man behind the music that currently inspires established DJs and music fans alike around the globe? Niall Mannion as Mano is known to his parents, is originally from Greystones, a seaside village near Dublin, Ireland. After an eclectic musical youth and a move to Berlin, Mannion first popped up on the electronic music radar in 2009 with an ep on legendary disco Viking Prins Thomas’ Internasjonal label. With his unique mixture of modern disco, atmospheric house and electronica (although musical genres like these do not quite capture the essence of Mano’s music; he prefers to describe it as “cool songs” or “Folkal House” which seem in some way more appropriate), Niall quickly gained massive interest in his music. So it was no surprise that EP's on such acclaimed labels as Tensnake’s Mirau imprint, Dirt Crew recordings and Ben Watt’s Buzzin Fly followed his remarkable debut. In no time Mano also became a much sought after remixer for the likes of Aloe Blacc , Midnight Magic, Flowers and Sea Creatures and Roisin Murphy. That Mano also knows his onions as a DJ has been proven over the years at his monthly party in Berlin called Passion Beat, which he runs with his old friend and fellow paddy “The Drifter” (with him and their friend Baikal they also set up their own label “Maeve” in 2012 ). With his ever growing reputation, he soon got heavily booked worldwide and became a regular in some of the best clubs in the world including Panorama Bar, Trouw and RobertJohnson. All of his great experiences as a musician and artist culminate now in Mano Le Tough’s first long player, “Changing Days” on Permanent Vacation. Fully aware that the album format is still the most important statement of a musician, Mano succeeds in this field with flying colors by not falling into the obvious traps of making a “dance” album with 11 songs that all seem to sound that same. Similar to his labelmate and buddy, John Talabot, Mano manages to expand his stylistic palette to more than “just” dance or club music. Instead he creates his own distinct sound and musical vision with bittersweet melodies and atmospheric moods that should appeal to ravers and more pop trained ears alike. On the album Mano brings to perfection what he began to explore on his last few EP's, especially by using his own voice as a unique musical instrument and as a transmitter to communicate with his audience. The Drifter ( maeve | Permament Vacation ) The Drifter is Mark Flynn, an Irish producer, DJ and singer. He releases music on the labels Maeve and Permanent Vacation. His productions and DJ sets lean towards the hypnotic, melodic and emotive side of electronic music. His productions have seen him garner much attention this year with well received EP’s on both Maeve and Permanent Vacation, as well as his track, “We See Us” featured on Permanent Vacation’s “If This Is House Give Me Your Money Back” compilation. This progress is hardly surprising with people like James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem calling his 2012 debut EP “really nice, gentle and strong.” He runs the record label Maeve together with his two close friends, Mano Le Tough and Baikal. The label has quickly become one of the most exciting imprints around, not only releasing music from its founding members but also enlisting the skills of friends Matthew Dekay, Ripperton and Dixon to contribute to its success. Label showcases have become high in demand, with a summer tour that saw Maeve host parties at El Monasterio Barcelona, Trouw Amsterdam and Space Ibiza among others. More showcases are scheduled for the coming months at Berghain/Panorama Bar and BPM Festival. With a quickly growing DJ schedule, 2014 has seen the Drifter play across Europe and beyond in the some of the world’s best clubs with his tracks becoming an ever more present feature in DJ sets from the likes of Dixon, Ame, and Tale of Us. Elijah Simmons ( Kompakt | Full Circle ) Elijah, aka Elias Simos, has for years been working towards perfecting his art, and is now about to enter the limelight. It all started happening for him, when his track “Otavio’s Dream” was selected by the international duo Blond:ish to exclusively feature on the first ever compilation of Flying Circus; the lovechild of Audiofly. Taking things up a notch, a little less than a year later, Elijah released his debut EP “Pisces” with the legendary Kompakt imprint. Touted as “a space opera gone road movie” and enjoying stellar reviews from respected publications around the world such as the DJ mag (8/10) and more, the EP continues its journey, carrying Elijah’s name to places he has not yet been in. Resident of PIXI, co-founder of Full Circle and founder of London based series of cosmic events, HYDE, Elijah has performed in some of the most respected clubs in the world, such as D-EDGE in Sao Paulo, Oval Space and the EGG in London and Yalta in Sofia, off circuit locations such as the Tower of David in Jerusalem and St. Georges Hotel in Beirut, as well as numerous other settings. Among the artists he has performed alongside, stand Tale of Us, The Drifter, Chaim, Casino Times and Bas Ibellini. His music and dj sets are always branded with a signature emotive, evocative, mysterious yet playful sound, product of his personality, life experiences and inspirations. Go on a journey with him.. Mark_K (Full Cirlce) Co-Founder and AR of Full Circle label. Since the age of seventeen Mark hasn’t stopped following the underground electronic music scene, organizing parties and DJing. His starting point was the 24 Hour Party People loft series and his guest appearances in Athens best clubs. Most recently he held two residencies in Athens at PIXI and in the capital of Bulgaria Sofia, where he is currently based, at the legendary YALTA Club. He is heavily involved in some pioneering projects there, such as Vbank, a series of parties in an old bank building, Metropolis parties and EXE amongst others. His sets are characterized by a combination of deep-techno with ambient elements and find the perfect balance between melody and groove, getting the crowd exactly where his mind is. He has shared the decks with internationally recognized artists such as: The Drifter, Chaim, Sascha Sibler and Illario Alicante. Rhino (Overdriven) Since the beginning of the 90's, Rhino avidly immersed himself into the music scene beginning with the trance movement that led to his ongoing interest into underground music. A tough critic and always the last person standing at the most notable parties, Rhino travels far and wide for the love of music. Today he appears mostly at underground parties in Greece where he keeps audiences on their toes to the tunes of techno deep house. Overdriven _Music _tour
