OSHANA BIOGRAPHY
In an era where ‘original’ music is few and far between, few artists have been able to capture a truly indigenous sound. Luckily, for this US-born Producer and DJ, a relentless pursuit of instinctive rhythm has allowed her to produce a sound that is undeniably her own. In just a short time, Oshana has composed a style that is both unique and complex, a product of expansive atmosphere, embryonic bass, and infectious percussion and rhythm.
Over the past two years, Oshana has earned quite a reputation. Since debuting her first solo EP’s on the highly acclaimed Romanian Label, LOK Records, a popular release on Brouqade, and a #1 best-selling EP on the Moscow label, Body Parts Records, her productions have caught the attention of several major artists including those on: a:rpia:r, the infamous Desolat music label, and Cadenza, to name a few. She’s also developed a one-of-a-kind LIVE show, with several Domestic and International Tour dates to boast, including dates at the infamous tINI & The Gang party as well as a Brouqade Showcase at the renowned techno establishment, Club der Visionaere. With a host of superior accolades, there's no doubt that the future remains bright for this natural-born talent.
Looking ahead, this year promises to be a tremendous one for Oshana. With several European Tour Dates planned for winter and spring of 2015, a follow-up EP on her home label of Brouqade, and a coveted position on Raresh’s Fabric 78 Compilation, Oshana is rapidly defining herself as an "artist to watch." Armed with an intrinsic passion for making music, Oshana continues to strive towards the forefront of innovative dance music. No matter where her path leads her, her intentions remain true: “Do what you love and love what you do.”
