Atomic Jam 20th Birthday w/ Dave Clarke, Mark Broom & He/aT

  • "If you've been there, you just know” (Dave Clarke on Atomic Jam) Atomic Jam, one of the UK’s longest running techno institutions turns 20 years this November, when we head to Black Box Club in Birmingham, bringing residents from past and present together for this very special celebration. A cornerstone of UK techno sine 1995, and based in Birmingham, our formative years were spent at the Que Club, where we brought the likes of Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Robert Hood, Sven Vath, Juan Atkins, Adam Beyer and many many more to Birmingham for the first time. Two decades later, many venue changes, we are still representing techno in the city. This last year we’ve brought the likes of Rodhad, Phase, Shifted, AnD, Truss & Tessela to join us. We just do what we do, that simply is what Atomic Jam has always been about. On to the 20th Birthday... Dave Clarke needs no introduction. He has always been a big favourite of ours since day one and pretty much our “unofficial resident” as he has played the Jam more times than any other guest over the years. Mark Broom was resident for a couple of years alongside Chris Finke in 2009/10 and is on sparkling form right now with EP's on Robert Hood's M-Plant, Skudge Records and live shows with his collab project with James Ruskin as The Fear Ratio. We welcome back long time resident Ade Fenton for his first appearance since 2007. Since then he has been producing and touring the world with Gary Numan, and is now working closely with Dave Clarke. Current residents He/aT (Chris Finke) and Stephanie Sykes back it all up. Chris has been our longest-standing resident (since joining us in late 2002!), and took over the reigns under his He/aT alias 2 years ago. His new alias has proven a breath of fresh air, with a string of releases and live shows from Berghain to the Moulin Rouge. Stephanie joined us at the same time, and is definitely one to watch, with releases on Full Panda and much more to come in the future.
