After what was probably our best playtime ever in July, this month we've got two ring-ins and a treat for the regulars - one of our occasional resident showdowns for six hours in room two.
But in room one - from Berlin, the Dirt Crew. They're the guys who wrote Rok Da House, one of the biggest tracks in the cooler clubs this year, and alongside Trentmoller one of the fastest-rising names in proving that Berlin doesn't have to mean boring. Catchy, dirty as you like, monster riff electro on a house tip ... We can't wait.
Then there's Australia's biggest DJ, Ben Korbel - resident at Home, Sydney, and a regular at Space Ibiza (where he's appearing a few days after Playtime). Expect everything - this guy has been resident at Home for years, and he's one of those genre-hopping DJs who's as happy with house and French funk as heavily electronic breaks - and he's one of the best technicians around to boot.
And the showdown? About once, twice a year we lock our residents Mike Monday and Big Daddy G into the booth and tell them not to come out until everyone is dancing. It'll be all night from midnight for six hours, two decks, two CDs, a cyloops, and at least a crate of beer, and the weirdest-arse dirty jackin' house you're going to see in any club in London...
