Tale of Us è un duo composto dai produttori e DJ Karm e Matteo, attualmente all'opera per riscrivere le regole della musica elettronica emotiva e profondamente emozionante. Insieme condividono una visione sonora che unisce elementi di house e techno con varie influenze come il pop, la nu-disco e persino il rock. Anche se le loro produzioni sono automaticamente riconoscibili come Tale of Us, variano da classici inni del dancefloor a tracce più lente di genere ambient e a composizioni astratte. Vere e proprie istituzioni in club come il Watergate e il Weekend a Berlino, il Tenax a Firenze, il Barraca a Valencia e il DC10 a Ibiza, crescono a Milano organizzando feste underground chiamate 'Just This'. Provenienti dal Nord America (Toronto e New York), entrambi giungono in Italia da bambini ed è qui che si conoscono e creano il loro rapporto professionale. Al momento abitano a Berlino, frontiera dell'ispirazione, città che ha dato loro varie opportunità per stringere rapporti con altri musicisti. Seth Troxler, Shaun Reeves, Ryan Crosson e Lee Curtiss diventano grandi supporter dei Tale of Us sin dal primo ascolto e lanciano il loro primo EP per l'etichetta Visionquest. In precedenza, Karm e Matteo hano prodotto tracce per Barraca Music e Life & Death, oltre a vari remix in collaborazione con gli stessi Reeves e Crosson. Il loro remix di Disco Gnome di Thugfucker è tra i migliori dischi del 2010 per Mixmag. L'incredibile successivo remix i Every Minute Alone degli WhoMadeWho viene eletto il techno ‘Tune Of The Month’ da Mixmag e DJ Mag e scelto per le classifiche di vari DJ da un polo all'altro della dance music. I Tale of Us si esibiscono in live e DJ set ad eventi come lo showcase della Visionquest a Miami durante Ultra Week e in giro per il mondo al Detroit Movement Festival (DEMF), il Sonar a Barcellona, il Klubber’s Day a Madrid, Fiesta Privada a Roma, Elita Festival a Milano e in molte altre location di qualità. Grandi sostenitori del Dancity Festival, saliranno venerdì 25 sul palco del Serendipity.

Tale of Us are Berlin-based DJ and production partnership Karm and Matteo who are currently re-writing the rulebook for deeply moving, emotional electronic music. Together they share a sonic vision that pulls together elements of house and techno with influences from pop, nu-disco and even rock music. While all of their productions are instantly recognisable as Tale Of Us, these range from straight-up dance floor jams to low-slung ambient tracks and more abstract compositions. Already regular fixtures at clubs like Watergate and Weekend in Berlin, Tenax in Florence, Barraca In Valencia and DC10 in Ibiza they have grown up throwing secret loft parties called ‘Just This’, in their hometown of Milan. While both originally hail from North America, Karm was born in Toronto and Matteo in New York, they moved to Italy as children, which is where they met and formed the close working bond that they now share.
At present they are based in Berlin, an inspirational frontier, which has given them numerous opportunities to build relationships with fellow musicians who share their unique musical outlook. At the forefront of these like-minded visionaries are Seth Troxler, Shaun Reeves, Ryan Crosson and Lee Curtiss, who have been passionate supporters of Tale of Us since they first heard their music; so much so that they have recently released Tale Of Us’ debut EP release on their new ‘Visionquest’ label this spring. Prior to this, Karm and Matteo had already released tracks on labels such as ‘Barraca Music’ and ‘Life & Death’ and had put out various remix collaborations with fellow ‘Visionquest’ label mates Shaun Reeves & Ryan Crosson. In particular the Tale Of Us remix of Thugfucker ‘Disco Gnome’ on ‘Life and Death’ was hailed by Mixmag as one best records of 2010. Building on the success of ‘Disco Gnomes’ they have recently released their next killer remix, this time of a track called ‘Every Minute Alone’ by Danish band WhoMadeWho, which was made techno ‘Tune Of The Month’ in not only Mixmag but also DJ Mag, and has been charted by DJs from one end of dance music to the other.
Following on from their show-stealing performance at the Visionquest Showcase at the Shelborne in Miami during Ultra Week this year, later this summer we will see them perform both live & DJ sets at locations around the world including the Detroit Movement Festival (DEMF) and Sonar in Barcelona. They are also booked to play at Klubber’s Day in Madrid, Fiesta Privada in Rome, Elita Festival in Milan and many other quality venues throughout Europe.
