After two sensational reunions this summer, we're super excited to have the gang back together to see the New Year in bringthebeats style. New Year's Eve is a very important event for all clubs and that certainly holds true for TOiKA. Terence has entrusted our crew for their first party of 2016 and we're thrilled to oblige.
Luke Fair has returned to Toronto with a fresh outlook on his music career. Despite not travelling full time anymore, Luke's feeling the groove as much as he ever has, so it's essential each gig is a special one. New Year's Eve at one of his favourite venues, with many of his closest friends, certainly meets the criteria. Luke is totally re-energized being back where it all began; you know he'll put everything he has into an absolutely unforgettable headline set.
Another underground virtuoso with renewed musical focus is Cesar Caballero. Cesar's spent the past 18 months travelling between Toronto and Colombia working on a variety of projects in and out of the scene. He continues to work closely with the BPM festival and has recently started making the rounds in Toronto’s club circuit. In Colombia Cesar kicked off his GROOVE GARDEN SESSIONS in some magical locations and recently premiered the series in Toronto with an unbelievable celebration alongside Ricky Ryan at Toika. He continues to work tirelessly in studio and will certainly bring his A-game to steer this jam into peak time.
Rounding out this all-in-the-family affair is our rock Craig Anderson who will set the pace with the very first track at 9pm. Craig’s sound recordist gig has kept him super busy and often on the road in 2015, but he’s still managed to play some standout gigs, including the most perfect warm-up for Luke aboard the INTIMATE & ON THE BOAT Summer Reunion. There are few in any crew who love house music as much as Craig. We’re so happy to have this outlet for him to share his unrelenting passion.
Finally, there are bigger and brighter, but to us, there are no better clubs in Toronto than TOiKA. Since Terence Lam took over the space in 2012 the staff has remained consistent and some kindest we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Terence himself has always been fair and incredibly accommodating to our crew. When the music and vibe are just right, it feels like our living room in there. We guarantee that same atmosphere for TOiKA’s third bringthebeats NYE. We’d love for you to join us.
