Night Vision: Home for the Holidays Feat. Cyril Hahn, Walker & Royce

  • Cyril experimented early on during high school with music production and abandoned it after leaving his hometown of Bern, Switzerland to pursue his studies in Vancouver, Canada. After a 3 year hiatus from music, feeling a need to return to his former love, he sat down and did what is considered by some to be taboo: stripped down two iconic R&B songs and gave them his unique atmospheric twist: Mariah Carey’s 'Touch My Body' and Destiny’s Child 'Say My Name'. Cyril's remixes instantly resonated with internet fans and other artists after uploading to his Soundcloud, especially the Destiny’s Child anthem. In 2012, 'Say My Name' hit #1 on Hype Machine, was selected as the final track by Diplo for his BBC Radio 1 mix show, and was posted as a favourite on the fan page of global trendsetting group, The xx. 'Say My Name' now has over 15 million YouTube views, and Cyril has become a staple in the worlds of house and indie dance. He has now released countless other remixes for high profile artists like Caribou, Jessie Ware, HAIM, and Solange, and just released his third full EP for PMR Records. New York City’s Sam Walker & Gavin Royce came onto the scene only 4 years ago with their signature brand of emotive, subdued, and groove-heavy deep & tech house. But almost from the start, they were touted as future stars by notables such as Damian Lazarus, who orchestrated their first big break with an EP on the world renowned Crosstown Rebels label. In 2015 they appear to be some of the most in-demand house producers out there, especially for artists who run their own labels. In 2015 alone they have already released full EPs for Catz ‘n Dogz’ Pets Recordings, Jaymo & Andy George’s Moda Black, done remix duty for Worthy’s Anabatic Records and Curses’ Safer at Night and have a forthcoming remix for Shadow Child/Kry Wolf’s Food Music.
