tonhalleLATE was the brainwave of David Zinman, Principal Conductor of the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra since 2014. He developed a concert series aimed at young people, and to open their eyes and ears to a classical orchestra. His brilliant idea of combining a classical concert with funky electronic music after the concert followed by dancing and a bar, all in the same venue – the foyer of the Tonhalle, has been copied in many places around the world.
