RED BULL SYNERGY MAIN STAGE
It’s the heartbeat of the festival - an extraordinary AV production showcasing an equally world-class lineup of marquee acts and artists across all musical genres! From big name international stars who will will blow you away to local superheroes of tomorrow earning their stripes. Hook up in the soundgarden, watch bands rock out in sunshine and then get ready to lose yourself completely as the DJs take over under a ceiling of stars. You’ll be partying so hard you’ll forget about selfies. The Red Bull Synergy Main Stage means the right tunes at the right time. All you have to do is turn up. Once you’ve found it, you may never leave.
ERA CLUB STAGE
This year we’ve renovated the Indoor Club Stage into a home-away–from-home for the pace-setting Cape Town super club, ERA. Boasting a carefully curated collection of the finest in local and international deep house and techno acts, this stage is sure to elevate your experience. Best of all, ERA are bringing their legendary Funktion One soundsystem to the party as well as their whole club crew and experience. It’s state of the art clubbing at Synergy Live: where technology meets imagination and the senses are taken on a journey designed for pure enjoyment. This is not a place to pose about looking fashionable – it’s where you go to get down and lose control.
BACARDI BEACH BAR
Oh yes, it’s baaaaaaack! On Friday and Satuday from noon-ish to 9, if you’re looking for sunshades, sarongs and sand-side vibes, head on down to the banks of the dam. It’s a place to pull yourself towards yourself (and others!), fine-tune your moves to a backtrak of house and deep-house – or lie back, chill out, have a cocktail and contemplate the Youniverse.
SIRIUS SUNDAY STAGE
For day three, the Synergy Main stage turns into a unique global collaboration - a nine hour electronic music spectacle of trance & progressive psytrance with international acts. Close your eyes, open your imagination and picture yourself plugged in to the phattest, punchiest basslines and most hypnotic rhythms you’ve ever heard in your life. That’s Sirius. On Sunday. At Synergy.
THE COMEDY STAGE
Just cos there’s no reason to lose your sense of humour doesn’t mean there isn’t room for a jester, right? So if your feet need a timeout and you want to bring down the revs, remember that laughter really is the best medicine and head for the intimate laughter-zone at Synergy Live 2015. Find out just how loud the noises are in the heads of our country’s leading comedy-kings and queens.

THE MARKET PLACE
You’ve seen this movie before, right? The one where you’ve been hitting it hard for hours and all you can think of is pizza? That’s what the Market is for. And a few other things. We like to think of as our forecourt at the filling station. If stage-fatigue sets in (yes, it can happen), you’ll be able to top up the tanks with a suitably wide variety of high-octane boogie-fuel: from smoothies and burgers to flat-whites and wraps. You know the gig.

The Synergy souk – a mall of stalls offering all kinds of festival merch, music and massage, arts and crafts and everything in between. For souvenirs and gift ideas, a cute collectable or something more than memories, here’s where it’s at.

THE HEARTBREAK MOTEL
Calling all glampers! Heartbreak Motel will once again be setting up a tented village at Synergy Live 2015. For the uninitiated, we’re talking a camp experience where you can live festival life to the full, without worrying about pitching tents and lugging cumbersome gear around. Done for the night? Retire to your own little chill patch to relax and sleep in comfort. It’s still close enough to the action to feel like you’re in the middle and, best of all, since there’s no pitching or packing down necessary, you won’t miss a moment of the time of your life.

CAMPER VANS AND CARAVANS
A limited amount of space has been made available in the front of the main parking lot for camper vans and small caravans. The usage of this area is on a first come first served basis and is not charged for. Please note there are no electricity points at these stands.

The Venue: Theewater Sports Club, Theewaterskloof Dam, Villiersdorp.
Theewater Sport Club is situated on a peninsula stretching into the Theewaterskloof dam, surrounded by farmlands, majestic mountains and a variety of wildlife.
Directions to Theewater Sports Club From Cape Town:
1. Proceed east on the N2 for about 68km (past Somerset West and over Sir Lowrys Pass).
2. Exit the N2 left at the R321/Grabouw off-ramp onto the R321. 3. Proceed on the R321 heading towards Villiersdorp (the R321 becomes the R45 as you drive over the dam).
4. About 1km before Villiersdorp, exit the R45 right onto the R43 (only travel for 100m or so).
5. Take your first right onto Old Caledon Road. Drive down to the end of the road and you will see the Sports Club on your right hand side. Welcome to #SynergyLive2015!

FESTIVAL CHECK LIST
Our best advice: just bring what you need. No, really, we mean it: pack light. Depending where you park, you'll inevitably have to carry your stuff a fair distance to where you camp so leave the acoustic guitar and kitchen sink to someone else. And as part of our ‘leave no trace’ initiative we'd definitely encourage you to only bring things which you can take home. Remember, ‘Less is Best !' Also remember to keep all valuables on your person at all times, while every care is taken, theft from campsites is a reality.
What not to bring:
- Please don’t bring any glass bottles. They are dangerous and will be confiscated.
- Only food and alcohol for personal consumption can be brought into the site, again unfortunately not in glass containers.
- Persons suspected of carrying out illegal and/or offensive activities onsite may be searched and face eviction and or arrest.
- NO animals (except registered guide dogs), sound systems, generators, kites, fireworks, fires or burning material of any kind will be allowed on site.
- Persons using fireworks or making fires will be evicted from site and materials confiscated.
- No unauthorised professional film or video equipment are allowed onsite. Cameras for personal use are welcome.
- Alcohol / Soft Drink Policy: You are allowed to bring in your own alcohol (for consumption in the camping areas) but only up to a reasonable amount per person. You will be asked to leave excess quantities outside the event and this will be enforced. You will NOT be allowed to re–enter the festival site with alcohol once you’ve come in the first time. You will not be allowed to bring in glass bottles of any kind. Alcohol cannot be brought into the main site from the campsite. We have fully licensed bars with alcoholic & soft drinks available at reasonable prices.
Cash & Cards
The motto still holds: cash is king and plastic’s fantastic. We’ll have ATM machines on-site, but if you want to avoid paying pesky transaction fees and standing in queues, rather bring enough cash to last the weekend. There will also be credit & debit card facilities as well as Snapscan at the main and electronic stage bars, but remember, food and trade vendors generally only accept cash.
Toilets & Showers
This year at Synergy Live we’ve gone all out to make sure your festival experience is an easy one – and that includes yet again increasing the number of toilet and shower facilities. As always, they’ll be tended to by our support staff to ensure they’re clean and tidy for the duration of the festival. Please respect the facilities and staff ♥
Public Safety Services
To ensure everyone is safe and sound, Synergy-designated paramedics, life guards, security and firefighting crews will be on hand at all times. In the event of an emergency please alert a Synergy Live staff member or security official immediately.
Water Points
The Theewaterskloof dam might be the main water supply for Cape Town, however the water in the dam is not fit for drinking unless you are a fish or a freak. Look out for the green water towers with taps located around the festival site to provide fresh water for drinking or the designated safe to drink points in the permanent bathroom facilities. Bottled water will also be available at all bars. NB: Please use water sparingly.
Traders Applications
Applications to trade at Synergy Live 2015 are still open. If you are interested in trading please email [email protected]. Dozens of food traders, arts & craft merchants and peddlers of the bizarre and unique apply to trade at Synergy each year. Each stall is priced individually, based on the type of organisation, the number of staff, the size of stall, the products being sold and so on. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate everyone, but we do try and give our patrons the very best variety possible.
Lost Property
All lost property can be reported, dropped off or collected from the Security Office, just off the main tar road, by the toilet / shower block. Please report any theft or suspicious activity to the on-site security officers or the SA Police services on duty.

Synergy Live is a festival for everyone, that’s why we’re making sure that all our guests are catered for and all our areas accessible. If you have any special needs, please contact us on [email protected] before the 20 November so we can make any necessary arrangements for a hassle free Synergy Live experience.

Juice your phone and mobile devices. Smartphones are hard on batteries, chomping bars as fast as you can recharge, especially when shooting video or pics of your favourite band.
