Come and indulge in the sweetest thing this 2009! With 4 floors of tasty beats serving up slices of TECHNO / MINIMAL / HOUSE / PSYTRANCE there’s a flavour for everyone.
There’ll be lots of great music from new & old faces plus 3 different internationals and 2 interstate DJs. UK’s SIMON BAKER will be the highlight of the evening, back at DeepAsFunk for the 3rd consecutive year this time with release on the 2 most recognized labels in the scene under his wing (Cocoon & Get Physical). Headlining alongside the Baker will be up and coming French Tech / Minimal guru D-SENS with multiple beatport releases on his underground French Labels BUS RECORDS as well as our Sydney local BEEF RECORDS. He has performed alongside the likes of JOSH WIINK, THOMAS SCHUMACHER, and MINILOGUE to name a few and has released tracks by D-NOX & BECKERS (Coming to DeepAsFu*k January 2009), SAN, and FIORD aka ANTIX. All those who made it to the Pirates of the Underground got a taste as he closed the mainfloor on the boat after fellow Frenchman ALEXKID. For all you progressive heads Matt (D-Sens) will be also performing as his alter ego LUNASPICE which is more progressive trance orientated...first released on SUB-MACHINE's compilation Chrome and Daytime, and others labels like VP RECORDS, STARGATE RECORDS, and OPEN RECORDS.
Our Australian featured guests include the return of DAVE SLADE (STICK FIGURES) from his overseas tour, as well as Melbourne’s leading underground Techno & DeepHouse promoters/DJs LOGAN BAKER and MUSKA responsible for nights at Melbourne’s famous REVOLVER club and new hotspot ROXANNE PARLOR. For our Psytrance lovers we are proud to present for the first time at DeepAsFu*k - DJ BIO(DIVERSITY) from much respected REGEN CREW playing alongside Sydney Psy pioneer’s RAPTOR & SYLK.
All the rest of the local acts & Djs just as equally deserve a write up but that could get lengthy. So just know that they’ve been chosen from the best of the best that have performed at D.A.F. in 2008 to help kick off 2009 with some serious music and motivation to take our scene to the next level of its evolution!
