The Neverdogs is a story about talent, passion and technique, which began in 2000 in Florence when Tommy Paone teamed up with Marco De Gregorio: two DJs originally from Catanzaro, who had started off playing separately in the early 90s, before forming the Neverdogs. The duo immediately demonstrated their personalities and skills, setting new music trends, conquering residencies in some of the most famous Italian clubs like Tenax in Florence, Cocoricò in Rimini and Docshow in Bologna, a club where the duo regularly return. Four years later the musician Davide Ruberto joined them and the Neverdogs were ready to build a respected reputation from DJs to producers in the electronic/dance circuit.
As a teenager Terence :Terry: spent much of his time hanging out in the first raves to be held in Paris, in a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. There, he discovered a menagerie of dance genres and he quickly developed a passion for diverse sounds that would inspire him to take to the decks, and influence him throughout the rest of his music career. Feeding his desire for original, rare cuts, Terence became a fixture at Paris’ famous flea-market Puces of Clignancourt, dealing in second-hand warehouse vinyl he found on trips to London. But, always on the hunt something new to excite him, he would often sneak away from his shop in search of jazz, soul, hip-hop and funk records to expand his ever-growing music collection.
Operating under their alias DZeta N' Basile, the duo have managed to carve a name for themselves amongst the underground elite with their very own strain of stripped back, authentic deep house. Already a favourite in the capital, regularly impressing at the London's premier clubs including Fabric, Ministry and The Egg, the guys have also seen their skills behind the decks generating much more demand further afield, as their reputation justifiably expands throughout Europe.
