Since Picnic Social kicked off back in June, every Sunday upstairs at Harpoon Harry has been a supremely good time, and it’s only gotten better since Stereogamous (aka the legendary Paul Mac & Jonny Seymour) moved in downstairs with Teddy Bears Picnic. Week in, week out, we've had Sydney's finest DJs spinning for Sydney's finest crowd and turned Sundays into the most anticipated day of the week :)
With Christmas just around the corner, we’ve gone shopping for the best pressie we could get our hands on and we’ve come up with something properly next level: Picnic and Stereogamous invite you to “A Merry Moody Christmas with Detroit heavyweight MOODYMANN!”
Yup, it’s the one and only Kenny Dixon Jr. bringing the heart, soul and voice of the Motor City direct to your ears at Harpoon Harry. For more than 20 years, Moody has been building a monumental discography of the very best Detroit house and techno, peppered with flavours of jazz, hip hop, funk and R&B that tell a rich story of KDJ’s beloved home city. All of these influences and more are liable to come out when he’s on the decks (and on the mic!) and it’s gonna be a huge pleasure to have one of dance music’s greatest characters - and one of our biggest influences - getting down at our official Christmas party and o celebrate an epic 2015!

It’s been a bit of a tough year for the Sydney scene, but it’s also been a year filled with loads of amazing party moments, loads of incredible music and loads of wonderful support from you, our loving dancers. Let’s celebrate the goodness we’ve continued to cultivate in the past 12 months and wrap 2015 up in the best way possible! We'll be flinging the doors open at 3pm and partying on through until late.
