Mad Racket returns with our annual NYE shindig, free of fireworks and hordes, yet packed with wonderful music and friendly faces. This year we welcome first time Racketeers from Hamburg, the mighty Smallpeople. For over a decade these two chaps, Julius & Just (Dionne), have carved out a unique niche in the overly populated world of house music. Fans and exponents of deep, moody, groovy and hypnotic house, the pair opened a record store and label in Hamburg a decade ago. They also teamed up with artist Stefan Marx, who gives their label and shop a unique look. As a DJ partnership, they have grown from putting on their own small nights in Hamburg, to touring Europe and beyond regularly. Despite this, they remain committed to the local Hamburg scene and have held residencies there for years, including at the wonderful Golden Pudel.
Welcoming Just & Julius to the Bowlo will be Racketeers Jimmi James, Ken Cloud, Zootie & Simon Caldwell. The finest Bowl-O-Sonic sound system will be primed to deliver sonic delights. There's a smoking/chatting area out the back. The bar is fully stocked with the finest mini champagne and we're ready to welcome the new year in style!
