Âme, the founders of Innervisions, join Oval Space Music on 27th February for an all night live and DJ session.
Innervisions is the most influential underground house label of modern times. In a genre often defined by functionality, Âme’s label has won the hearts and minds of its global audience by emphasising melody, musicality and emotion. Since its inception ten years ago, Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann’s label has grown into a close-knit family of likeminded artists, releasing classic EPs from the likes of Henrik Schwarz and Laurent Garnier.
Few Innervisions producers are as deeply treasured as Âme, however. Emphasising quality over quantity, the German duo may have only released a handful of times on their label, along with Ostgut Ton and Sonar Kollectiv, but each EP remains a timeless example of modern house music produced with panache, skill and flair. Frank Wiedemann’s live project Howling, a collaboration with vocalist Ry, has entranced critics and dancers alike by expertly blurring the lines between underground sounds and a more pop sensibility.
On 27th February, Âme play all night long at Oval Space, combining a DJ and live performance across an eight hour session. Wiedemann’s live show, a deep trip through orchestral melodies and hushed vocals, will set the stage for an extended b2b DJ performance from him and Kristian Beyer.
