It has been some time since BlkMarket Membership has hosted a techno-focused party in the spirit of events like our Sub:Stance Residency or the storied appearances by legends like Dan Bell, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Levon Vincent, and many others, and with these sounds now surging back to the fore, we welcome them back to our dancefloor for an all-Ostgut blowout. A resident of Berghain since its opening, Len Faki should need little introduction, but he has carried on with unbroken successes as a DJ, producer, and A&R since he began in 1997 with labels like Feis and Monoid. Faki remains one of the world’s busiest DJs and producers, making rare appearances in New York on his worldwide tours as well as running his own well-respected Figure and Figure SPC imprints, home to distinguished names like Alan Fitzpatrick, Markus Suckut, Roman Poncet, Johannes Heil, and others. One of a few responsible for shaping the sound of Berghain techno, Len Faki’s own take on it remains more accessible than some of his peers but no less ferocious.
Joining him is Anthony Parasole, a name familiar to New York, now also a resident of the fabled Berlin institution. Parasole spent years in NYC’s underground promoting, DJing, and running his Deconstruct Music label, all more focused on house, before shifting gears towards techno and founding his own The Corner imprint. His Berghain residency has been extremely well-received and has shaped his own musical direction, leading to releases on Dettman’s MDR imprint and Ostgut Ton and consolidating his position as an in-demand DJ worldwide. Joined by residents Taimur & Fahad, BlkMarket Membership is bringing world class techno of rare caliber back to Brooklyn’s underground.
