More than just a festival, Electric Elephant offers a sublimely diverse range of sounds across the electronic spectrum. Set near the idyllic town of Tisno, it is a celebration of amazing music and the glorious sun, an intimate paean to dancing the night away under a starlit sky until dawn with like-minded souls from around the world. The music programme has become a critically acclaimed highlight of the festival calendar, blending House, Disco and Electronica into one infectious mix that evokes the original party spirit of Balearic culture.
Electric Elephant 2016 returns to the beautiful site of The Garden, Tisno, set in a magnificent natural amphitheatre with gently rolling hills leading down to our own private bay, a shimmering sandy beach and crystal clear waters. An undiscovered, secluded paradise just a short walk from the beautiful town of Tisno the site has a truly festival feel whilst retaining the intimacy so special to all our visitors. Tisno is conveniently located on the beautiful Adriatic coast halfway between Zadar (45mins) and Split (60 mins) airports. The old town is charming and picture-perfect with a host of restaurants, cafes, apartments and is connected to the island of Murter by bridge.
Tisno is a 16th century fishing village at the entrance to the Isle of Murter. It is separated by a small bridge that spans the sea leaving one side on the mainland and the other on the Island. Tisno is surrounded by pretty hills of olive groves and vineyards and has a wonderful view of the many uninhabited Islands surrounding it. The ancient old village is a marvel to explore with its tiny narrow lanes amid the old stone houses. Don’t miss the walk up the hill to the old church as the view of the Kornati Islands is breathtaking.
Tisno has a very sheltered position protecting it against the sea breezes so it’s ideal for swimming, diving and fishing. In fact it’s one of the only places that one is able to see the fish swimming in the clear water. Boat hire is always available
Tisno has shingle and sand beaches all within a 10 minute walk from the village and with its many restaurants, bars and open air cinema there is plenty to do at night. You will always be sure of a table right next to the sea.
