One of London's most prolific and XLR8R's best new artist of 2015, Volte-Face, will perform a DJ set only in Sydney for his first appearance in Australia.
Local favourites Kate Doherty (4our) and Methodix (Mainline) will return to provide support sets. The Matt Black collective will once again preside over the visual component.
Bio:
A key figure in London’s electronic music scene, Volte-Face runs record label and events brand BleeD Music, produces solo and as half of Rote with Daniel Avery.
He has played regular DJ gigs at Berghain and Fabric, and in the past year made appearances at Boiler Room, Dommune Tokyo, and Output New York to name a few. He also likes to push a more experimental and ambient agenda via a regular Rinse FM show.
Volte-Face broke out as a producer at the start of 2015, holding his own on a remix 12" for Daniel Avery alongside Rødhåd and Silent Servant. His debut solo EP, 'Charlatan', was followed by the arrival of the first Rote EP, featuring remixes from two key supporters and influences, Svreca and DJ Nobu. A second Volte-Face EP followed shortly after, as well as a track on Semantica’s next Nonnative compilation.
