Despite being relatively new to the scene Okain has been collecting, spinning and producing music for almost 15 years.
Okain grew up in Paris, France and dove into house and techno music since he was a teenager. After spending countless hours listening to djs like Laurent Garnier in his hometown he decided to try it himself and bought his equipment after spending a whole summer making orange juice at a local store.
Years later Okain finds himself as an accomplished international dj and producer with already a great CV despite his young age. The past six years have been a whirlwind of success for him. He released strong singles, EPs and remixes under is main artist name or using various aliases such as Samuel Thalmann, Lezar and Handycraft the collaboration with his childhood mate Paul Ritch.
Okain has been a consistent contributor with releases on respected labels such as Tsuba, Bpitch Control, Quartz Rec, Viva and Upon.you who have helped him become one of the most charted artist on Resident Advisor.
On the touring side, Okain's career is also continuously growing with gigs all over Europe, China, Japan, North & South America, Canada and Russia. He played at some of the most respected spots such as Fabric (London), Rex Club (Paris), Electric Pickle (Miami), Row14 (Barcelona), Ushuaia Ibiza, Space Ibiza, Sankeys ( Ibiza & Manchester ) and Watergate ( Berlin ) to name a few.
