Gather Round returns on Saturday 5th March, when we welcome Hamburg's Miyagi (Katermukke / Einmusika / SOSO) to play his first ever UK show at The Pickle Factory in London.
DJ, producer and label boss Miyagi has created and developed his own unique sound, drawing on both house and techno to produce a deep, hypnotic and melodic atmosphere in his sets and productions.
Worldwide bookings are scheduled to take Miyagi across the globe to play everywhere from Berlin, Copenhagen and Paris, to Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Seoul and Tokyo. As well as playing huge festivals like Burning Man, Fusion Festival and Sonne Mond Sterne, Miyagi also hosts the wicked WEIRD events in Hamburg.
His productions have been released on the likes of Katermukke and Einmusika and have been remixed by artists like Einmusik, Fairmont, Sasse, Sascha Braemer and Oliver Schories. In 2014, the release of his debut album 'Forever' on Oliver Schories' label der turnbeutel continued the success of his previous releases, hitting the fifth spot on the Beatport Deep House Top 100.
Setting the scene for Miyagi's headline slot is label co-founder Sam Pauli. While honing his own releases, DJ gigs and radioshows, Sam has been working with the whole Chapter 24 team to build up the record label, which in its first year of inception was selected by Beatport as one of its breakthrough labels of 2015, with its music being supported and played by the likes of Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Sasha, John Digweed, Solomun, Âme and Damian Lazarus, and featured several times on BBC Radio.
We also welcome back Chapter 24's KatrinKa who, since her last appearance at Gather Round, has been busy in the studio producing some massive new tracks for 2016 as well as building her DJ profile with international bookings.
Stepping out of the shadows for the first time to complete the lineup is Chapter 24 co-founder Más Black, for what will be his first public performance!
The Pickle Factory is an intimate new space for music lovers which opened in October 2015. Launched by the team behind Oval Space - and located directly opposite it - this state-of-the-art venue is designed specifically with music in mind. A room within a room, the space is engineered like a recording studio, ensuring unrivalled sound reproduction. With minimal frills and stripped back lighting, the focus is on the soundsystem: a new breed of d&b audiotechnik V series point source loudspeakers.
