LST presents Deena Abdelwahed (TN - Arabstazy).
An authority on the tunisian alternative etno-electro scene.
The young tunisian producer combines urban rhythms with an energetic personal touch, from an arab vanguard made of techno psychedelic experimentation
LST - Poetry in the Darkness 2016 presents an heterogenous journey between genres and creative practices in a post audio-visual world. This year again the sound research evolves in the field of electronic music. It investigates diverging aspects, influences and biographies: from techno-industrial to intra-genre experimentation, from North African rhythms with hints of jazz and funk all the way to auditory post-poetry. The solidity AGF inspires, complements Beaini’s iridescence, paying tribute to projects of artists as young as Kerridge-Abdelwahed-Kyoka. The narrative is situated in the present tense, the visual esthetic varies and the canon fluctuates between a Cocteau-like vision, contemporary documentarism and oriental graphic storytelling. The aim is to search for a third-way which would represent today’s definition of musicians’ dimension, considering them multi-disciplinary and intra-media actors of the art scene of the second decade of the 2000s.
