The application phase for the 2016 edition of the Red Bull Music Academy has started! To warm up for the upcoming Red Bull Music Academy edition in Montreal we’re setting up a workshop session and club night with Tokyo’s own drum & bass maestro, Makoto in Sopot.
Regarded as one of the most ‘musical’ producers in drum & bass, Tokyo-born Makoto brings killer keys and melody Iines to his various projects, both solo and collaborative. Having blazed a trail with his early work on Good Looking, Makoto firmly established himself in the hall of fame of drum & bass with a bunch of highly acclaimed releases on labels such as Renegade, Liquid V, Bingo, Hospital, Innerground and his own Human Elements imprint. Makoto's sets are reflecting the inimitable sound that he is known for as a producer – smooth, jazzed-out and by all means soulful.
Join in for the free lecture session at 8pm, with deep tech talk and d&b insights from Makoto, hosted by Polish Academy alum Eltron John. And starting at 10pm, the guest of honor will be serving up a DJ set alongside Deeizm on mic duties. Sfinks700 second room will feature Krakow’s house don Eltron John, as well as RBMA Bass Camp Warsaw participants Daniel Drumz and Kixnare, plus many others.
