- SANDWELL DISTRICT If you're in to the better side of techno or you've been reading the various electronic music forums and magazines over the last year, then there's no avoiding the fact that Sandwell District are on top of the world at he moment. Releasing a number of solid 12's that ravel or even surpass anything put out by the current darlings of the techno world, Ost-Gut Ton. 2008 sealed their fate as the best underground techno label in the world. FUNCTION & REGIS As stalwarts of the hugely influential Downwards Label, Function and Regis have been breaking down and re-arranging the structure of conventional dance music for over a decade. Sandwell District however is very much it's own animal and although it shares many of it's ideals and energy with the iconic Downwards, it is very much a label of the here and now. Expect a night of forward thinking, pure, stripped techno.
