Just like that, two years have flown by!
Sydney imprint Plastic World will be celebrating two years of killer vinyl releases with a birthday bash to match. Taking over inner city institution, The Chippendale Hotel, the all day event will feature an eclectic selection of live performers and selectors that showcase the unique and diverse taste cultivated in the label’s two short years of existence.
Championing a wide range of genres over the past few years, Plastic World’s mainly vinyl releases have jumped from driving house music, to glistening dream pop, to humble Aussie story telling, to vigorously filthy bass. What links Plastic World’s releases are not genres or trends, but instead a freshness and creativity that was screaming to be unleashed onto the Australian musical landscape.
At the height of summer Plastic World will be bringing the indoor/outdoor, upstairs/downstairs vibes, with a full venue take over that will toast two years of cracking tunes and supporting those that make them. Upstairs in the courtyard we’ve got some of Australia’s finest DJs laying down all vinyl sets and downstairs in the dungeon our best emerging live talent will be ready to unleash the most dynamic live sets out.
So come have a dance with this brilliant selection of Australian artists and get ready for a big announcement…
