Despite the doom and gloom in the news, the knuf team is staying optimistic: we are back with the first session of 2009 and planning an exciting series of parties. First up this year, is the man that needs no introduction. Resident and promoter of the legendary secretsundaze parties, and half of Two Armadillos, Giles Smith is responsible for bringing to London countless underground artists, starting a new record label, in addition to the general debauchery on those long-awaited Sundays during the summer season...and not just in London, now his party is rocking the crowds in Berlin, Barcelona and Ibiza. Giles has solid releases on Dessous, Four Twenty and Buzzin Fly under his belt, but if you think he has achieved it all, then think again. We can look forward to more quality deep house in co-production with Glimpse for a new project, and also continuing his venture with King Roc for Two Armadillos with upcoming releases on Motivbank, Bang Bang, Dessous and Sthlm Audio.
We are happy to welcome back Spanish duo Sonogama (aka Chico and Olli), the guys behind the Sounderground label have an impressive roaster of artists and an even more exiting future ahead, with hot new releases from Art Bleek and Dan Berkson & James What, and of course the anticipated debut track by Sonogama! These guys are ones to watch out for!
The lovely residents Jordi Mas and Maura can always be relied on to deliver the freshest sounds from the Cosmo Bar basement, while upstairs Pabs (AMP/Jetlag) and Super Rookie (Modus Vivendi/Erste Liga) will be hosting a birthday bash with nu disco beats. Whether you’re in the mood for romance or getting lost on the dancefloor, Knuf will take you on a musical journey you will not forget. With a new closing time of 6am, this is not one to miss!
