Since the mid 90's Marcellus Pittman has built up an impressive reputation as a dj and as a producer. He's made significant contributions to the Three Chairs project alongside Detroit Legends Kenny Dixon Jr., Theo Parrish, and Rick Wilhite.
Pittman’s own imprint, UNIRHYTHM RECORDS, boasts 7 to-die-for releases including a full length album (Pieces) . Also worth noting, his classic early 2000 cuts on Omar-s’ FXHE LABEL have further helped distinguish Marcellus' musical talents.
So many reviews of the 3 CHAIRS DJ parties have cited Pittman's no nonsense/in your face sets as the highlight of the night. SPACEDUST were down in DETROIT for the 3 chairs party last year and we second that he came out on top! (Sorry Kenny, Theo, Rick). Our very own Shamps recalls how Marcellus blew the roof off the joint at a warehouse jam deep in the heart of the Motor City circa '04 and as far as we can see, it's been well over a decade since Toronto's hosted an event for our hero.
