Lena Willikens (Cómeme)
Nothing trains a DJ more effectively than a long-lasting residency. A truism that the Cologne based musician and DJ Lena Willikens always proves when she spins her vinyl - whether it’s obscure proto-techno, jacking spirits, industrial boogie, synthesized disco, raw house, or other outernational rhythms.
For the past five years, she has been in charge of long and sweaty Friday night parties at Düsseldorf’s free-spirited club/bar Salon Des Amateurs. She is also a dedicated member of the Cómeme records tribe - the first time we’ve invited an artist from the esteemed stable to play.
Pangaea (Hessle Audio / Hadal)
The dark horse of the Hessle Audio camp plays Make Me for the second time after 2014’s high-impact back-to-back session with Pariah at Studio Spaces. Since we last met, the man also known as Kevin McAuley has been pushing out a slow but steady stream of predictably high grade music via his own Hadal imprint - including the timeless UK roller ‘Stimulant Dub’ which was easily one of our tracks of 2015.
Beatrice Dillon (The Trilogy Tapes / NTS)
London’s Beatrice Dillon is a producer, composer and NTS radio DJ with a string of acclaimed mixes for Trilogy Tapes, Blowing Up The Workshop and Truants, as well as collaborations with visual artists and performances at Lisson Gallery, ICA, Palais de Tokyo Paris and Southbank Centre to her credit.
Everything we’ve heard from Beatrice is absolutely quality and we can’t wait to hear her play at Make Me.
