Once described by the respectable MR L. GARNIER, Paris, as the “worst city in France for Techno”, Lyon has placed itself at the precipice of a fire pit of acid-drenched, techno excellence. Brothers From Different Mothers, seemingly the ring leaders of this youthful revolt against old norms, have released a catalogue of nostalgia enthused, diversely innovative and daringly fun EPs.
JUDAHH, the enigmatic head of BFDM is going to play some songs for you. 2 turntables and a record collection scarier than a nuclear winter. THE PILOTWINGS, hot off the back of releasing two doctrines of tranced out beats, breaks and transcendental melodies, are going to drown you in fi-ah and move you. Then a LIVE demonstration on their machines - J-ZBEL; dumb-hippie-acid ACIIIDE LINES fuzzier than mouldy, old fruit; bone shaking drums that will rattle your fillings; TAPE DISTORTION and BREAKS BREAKS BREAKS.
