Excess The Movement is a monthly underground party at Sugarfactory, Amsterdam. Started at the beach of The Hague, the movement found its way to Amsterdam in February 2014 and had several sold out editions since then. The unique ambiance at Excess parties originates from the slogan ‘We Are One’. Every person and element on the dancefloor are united by the power of melodic progressive techno music.
Over the last year artists such as Spartaque, Matt Sassari, Da Fresh, Mark Reeve, Mark Greene, Enrico Sangiuliano, Alex Mine, Rob Hes, The Yellowheads and Drumcomplex have performed at Excess, alongside the residents Jayzo and Zett Feral. Besides booking settled and upcoming names, Excess has a talent pool where new dj talents have the opportunity to grow.
Besides Sugarfactory Amsterdam, Excess parties can be found in The Hague, Scheveningen beach, Groningen (The Netherlands), Sofia (Bulgaria) and Barcelona (Spain). Excess also takes part in the world’s leading dance music conferences, with parties during Amsterdam Dance Event and Off Week Barcelona.
