• |blɒ̃| . . . FLAMINIA + TRAIN Flaminia and Train have started their duo project in Rome where they both grew up. Influenced by hypnotic techno, they decided to work together on production based on live performances. In 2013 they moved to London and after two years they founded the label Ways to Die Records, releasing their own music as well as other “industrial” artists’. At the foundation of their project lies the mission to express themselves freely through music. Their commitment to techno leaves room to influences from other styles from the harshest industrial to the more melodic electronic. Their vision of the world and the music reflects in Ways to Die: Any result and success in life are achievable if one makes their own choice, creates and ultimately does. This is the way one defines who they are. Choose the way you live. Choose the way you die. So as for their imprint, the duo’s live set is a furious succession of dancefloor oriented tunes with a touch of daring attitude. The performance is an hybrid digital and analogue live, creating an endless tension toward the equilibrium between tonal experiments and raw synthetic sounds, hypnotic texture and introspective broken beats. ELEUSINIAN MYSTERIES Eleusinian Mysteries were spiritual/psychedelic rites that used to take place every year in the ancient Greek city of Eleusis to honor the goddess Demetra and her daughter Persephone. This particular project is the aural representation of the artist’s perception of the rites and often consists of raw distorted drums accompanied by shadowy atmospheres, drones and industrial sound effects with a hint of psychedelia. SOYLENT BLACK London born Soylent is not a newbie to the scene, having played for some 15 odd years he managed a residency at Antiworld/Teknoworld, playing along side Chris Liebing, Mark EG, Chris Liberator and Oliver Ho. He was also resident at the art gallery-cum-rave Channel 83 in Florence, Italy. Guest slots followed and included: Le Nuit de Sade (Pisa), Seed(TG), Convergence, Damage Control, Concrete, Gravity, Sinistry, Overdrive and Slimelights. He plays a wide range of techno styles heavily influenced by his love of industrial and body music. POLANSKI 2013 saw the birth of B L A N C, a project which Polanski co-founded with like-minded creatives. It brings together aesthetics and sound in a way that is unique, stylish and profound, and the night as well as his sound enjoys a strong following. Born deep in rural Poland, Polanski's music draws inspiration from the organic sounds of nature re-expressed in the musical language of our digital era. His style is know to be eclectic and indeed his DJ approach is sensitive to particular venues and club nights. But he always takes his audience on a personal journey - a walk in the forest so to speak. DJ LVR Long time resident of ENDURANCE and the man behind their renowned mix series, DJ LVR was born from London's revived EBM scene and a compulsion for dark concrete spaces, hard sounds and strobe lights. Relentlessly driving dance floors across Reeperbahn, PRIMITIVE, Midnight Mess and, more recently, E|R, his style has always reflected the weird and the wicked across the full spectrum of body, wave, electro and techno. Constantly evolving to new sounds and spaces, his meticulously crafted sets surprise and delight, jumping between reference points, but the one overriding objective remains absolute body release. . . . "It was a great night for me. One of my favourite gigs! Very nice atmosphere." Moerbeck
