- COCOON IBIZA 2016 18th July Cocoon as is tradition starts to build a head of steam around this time and last week was simply brilliant. A packed out Amnesia welcomed back our old friend Luciano with superb support from Carl Craig and Dorian Paic. Over in the Club it was the night of the season so far as after a great Scuba set came a simply breathtaking b2b show from Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg. The place was absolutely fizzing and the sound was quite overwhelming. Wonderful stuff. 4 artists for you on a very special Cocoon Monday night : IN THE CLUB : SVEN VÄTH Finally finally Sven is in the booth for another of his legendary Club shows. The anticipation for this has got out of hand almost and with the room, as we heard last week, sounding better than ever we just cannot wait to find out what the master has in store for us. Trust us, there are going to be some new surprises being delivered by the guv’nor NINA KRAVIZ One of the brightest and certainly one of the most effervescent artists out there joins us for the first of her 4 shows this year with Cocoon. The last couple of years have planted Nina at a whole new level and she just oozes confidence and precision as a performer which is great because she parks some tremendous stuff in her record bags. Number one for Nina and don't miss a beat ON THE TERRACE : RICARDO VILLALOBOS After such a surprising and inspiring debut in the Club a couple of weeks ago Ricardo is back in his familiar hunting ground and just like Sven it is your first chance to hear him here this year and just like Sven he has a whole bundle of things for you to catch up with. Whats more as you are about to read he shares the stage with one of his oldest friends. So many adventures together and every time they are even in the same building something special will occur. Guaranteed ZIP Short name, huge influence. The Perlon chief is behind so many things that have moved electronic music forward and it is a privilege to have him tonight to get the terrace moving. A set from Zip is so often a sort of different story and yet you can never quite pinpoint why. Mixing and massaging and so often you think "what is that, and how come I never heard anything like it before?" The bloke is one of a kind. Please do not miss him Number 8 is presenting to you crucial critters and you get to see and hear them express themselves without haste.
