- COCOON IBIZA AMNESIA 3rd October 2016 GRAND CLOSING The end is nigh. The one, the only and certainly the most revered end of season celebration in Ibiza is unbelievably just around the corner. Or to put it another way it is on Monday. It is the hugely significant Cocoon closing party which means everyone who loves Ibiza is coming out to play. Normally we would be popping the corks and looking forward to getting well squiffy and dancing a lot and and taking lots of – or maybe just a couple of days off. This year is different. We do not want it to stop. It was pretty hard not to think it was closing last week. The sheer pleasure at seeing Ricardo and Luciano rocking away together after 2 young bucks Alex and Digby opened the floor. Next door Adam Beyer tINI and Dorian Paic were the stars. Pulsating stuff. Of course it could not really be closing because we were missing a certain someone. ON THE TERRACE : SVEN VÄTH This will be the 15th Amnesia show this season by the astonishing Mr Väth and the 17th year in succession he has saddled up for the Cocoon closing party. Equally astonishing is that the party and the man himself are in our humble opinion fresher and more vital than ever. Tonight cheer on a true legend as he pulls the curtain down on another season HENRIK SCHWARZ LIVE Only one show for us this season but when better to hear one of Henriks pulverizing live sets than in the middle of a terrace closing party sandwich ? This will be scintillating SONJA MOONEAR Two weeks ago Sonja dished out a stunning set in the main room and another side of this vibrant artist comes your way tonight as she opens the festivities on the terrace. The place will be full pretty quick because this has been a heck of a year for Moonear IN THE CLUB: ADAM BEYER It has been a hectic few weeks for the increasingly inspired Adam Beyer and in fact quite a year for this chap with some terrific performances in Amnesia that have confirmed his place in the dance hearts of the Cocoon cognoscenti. They will be up front checking out the last one from the tall one ILARIO ALICANTE The equally gorgeous Ilario has been delivering the post for us all year. Sparkling shows in Amnesia on the terrace and in the Club and of course he has become the King of our Thursday night parties on Formentera. Of course he had to be here for Closing NINA KRAVIZ And yet another artist who has had a year to remember. We do know how to find you the cream of the crop. 17 years experience helps of course. When you know Ibiza you get to learn what works and how it works. Nina Kraviz works. Cocoon Ibiza signs off for another season and although it is hard to pick favourite years and luscious moments from a 17 year history we are very clear. 2016 was fantastic. Ibiza is alive and kicking and we thank everyone who supported us and everyone who sussed out that the spirit of Ibiza is in safe hands. See you next year.
