Stones Throw presents: Dâm-Funk (DJ set), Egyptian Lover and M.E.D

  • 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of Stones Throw Records, the LA independent label founded by Peanut Butter Wolf in 1996. What started as a means to release Peanut Butter Wolf's own music has now grown into one of the most venerable record labels and leading tastemakers in music. To mark this milestone, Stones Throw is launching a series of celebrations throughout the year, travelling around the world to bring fans unforgettable music experiences. For the first London edition, Stones Throw will be hosting a label showcase at the Jazz Cafe in association with Bonafide Magazine, with a stellar line up of Dâm-Funk, Egyptian Lover and M.E.D. Damon "Dam-Funk" Riddick is the epitome of funk. Ever since debuting on Stones Throw in 2008, he has become one of the genre's most passionate advocates and is one of Stones Throw's flagship artists. In 2013, he released a celebrated album in partnership with hip-hop's Snoop Dogg, 7 Days of Funk, and in 2015 released his epic second album Invite The Light. With him on the bill comes none other than Egyptian Lover, whose key recordings from 1983 to 1988 are being reissued on Stones Throw as a 4LP boxset, and West Coast rapper M.E.D, whose ties with Stones Throw go back to 2005. **Dining tickets are now available at thejazzcafelondon.com**
