The Goethe-Institut Australien brings Berlin photographer Sven Marquardt to aMBUSH Gallery in Sydney as part of Head On Photo Festival. The opening night is co-presented with The House of Mince.
Sven Marquardt's iconic photographs will be presented in Australia for the first time, and the artist will be present at the opening night for an talk before the official opening party.
Since his humble beginnings in the early 1980s in East Berlin, Sven Marquardt has made a name for himself as a serious artist specialising in black & white portraits as well as fashion photography.
In addition to his artistic talent, the name Sven Maquardt is firmly connected to Berlin's burgeoning club scene, and especially to the Bergain techno club where he has worked as a bouncer for many years.
