We Concur presents Oscar Mulero, Perc, Ø [Phase], Jonas Kopp, Jamie Haus

  • On 15th July we take over Shapes in Hackney Wick for the first time with a monster techno line up consisting of some of the best names in the game. It’s a rarity to have all these artists on one line up, and Shapes, an event space rarely used for techno, is the perfect location for the occasion with it’s industrial warehouse feel and killer sound system. Oscar Mulero - The career of Oscar Mulero has been as illustrious as it has expansive. Releasing on labels such as Surface, OM and Token Records, his productions have found their way on to his own labels Warm Up Recordings and Pole Recordings, plus collaborations with Ben Sims, Christian Wünsch and Exium make for a very impressive back-catalog. His sets push the sound of trippy, eerie, twisting techno, relentless in nature and driving in style, but with a human touch that emanates through his selection, not to mention his technical prowess behind the decks. Perc (live) - London-based Perc is one of dance music’s reference points : an internationally touring performer, a label owner, and one of the most respected producers in the game. As well as his own PercTrax, his music has found it’s way onto labels such as Stroboscopic Artefacts, CLR, Ovum Recordings, Electric Deluxe and many more, proving time and time again why he’s so well respected. Know for his unashamedly hard performances, his live set has been completely re-vamped for 2016 and 15 July will see it unveiled in London for the first time. Ø [Phase] - A man we’ve been after for a very long time, Ø [Phase] has been a key figure in Token Records since it’s inception back in 2007. His recent album Alone In Time? which dropped on the label at the back-end of 2015 was critically acclaimed and features stand out tracks such as Blind Eye and Orbitron amongst others. Other works include releases on RØDHÅD’s Dystopian label, a number of mixes for Chris Liebing’s CLR series, plus appearances on Boiler Room and more, his style brings a hypnotic-yet-emotive element to techno which few manage to pull off. Jonas Kopp - Jonas Kopp has had a serious amount of output in the relatively small time he’s been on the scene. Indeed in the 10 years he’s been releasing, his music has found its way onto labels such as Ostgut Ton, Ilian Tape, Krill Music, Warm Up, Tresor Records, CLR, EarToGround, Stroboscopic Artefacts and more. The Argentinian has transformed from one of Buenos Aires’ best kept secrets to key component of the ever-changing landscape or house and techno, rubbing shoulders with scene heavyweights Ben Klock, MARCEL DETTMANN, Ryan Elliott and more. Jamie Haus - Much like the rest of this line up, Jamie’s output or music has been nothing short of exceptional since his first released came about. Jumping to the present day, Jamie is now signed to none other than Dutch label Planet Rhythm, and his latest EP has been receiving support from the likes of DVS1, Truncate, Dave Clarke, Matrixxman, Etapp Kyle, Ben Sims and more. His mechanical style of techno is built around twinkling, menacing tones, with an extraordinary knack for percussion and we’re very proud to call him our resident.
