- For those seeking something special and more sophisticated, this summer’s Ibiza calendar just got a lot more exciting with the announcement of OpenLab @ HEART, a brand new series of unique events from Ibiza’s premiere alternative radio station OpenLab. These weekly nights are designed to reignite and reinvent the original spirit of the Island for the twenty-first century.. Thursdays have traditionally been one of the strongest nights of the Ibiza party calendar. When thinking through your clubbing itinerary for next week, bear in mind that there are at least three arguments in favour of OpenLab at HEART Ibiza. First, it’s a new event in a new venue – and who doesn’t adore something new? Second, the very name of OpenLab is the seal of approval, the guarantee of the finest dancefloor moments and a treat for a versed ear. ESSENTIAL IBIZA Fusing top music performances with stunning live visual creativity, OpenLab @ HEART will cater for the more discerning music lover. This exciting new collaboration will see OpenLab’s alternative signature style, steered by Robert Miles and his team, blending beautifully with the stunning HEART Ibiza, the new venue opened in 2015 by renowned chef Ferran Adrià, his brother Albert, and Guy Laliberté (the former CEO of international phenomenon Cirque du Soleil). Taking place every Thursday over heighteen weeks from June 2nd, each evening holds promise of being special and unique on many levels. The aim is to create a more diverse and alternative offering for the more cerebral party-goer, immersing everyone present in a truly live and dynamic audio/visual experience. A rather exclusive line-up of DJs and live acts who otherwise rarely perform in Ibiza have been tempted to do just that for each OpenLab @ HEART night. Alongside premium music from credible indie/electronica acts, each event will also have at its heart a visual artist specially selected from those featured on OpenLab’s website. During the night, while DJ/live acts will be performing, these visual artists will create an original work in real time, displayed live via a series of hi-res projectors. It’s not surprising that OpenLab and HEART Ibiza have teamed-up. These ideal partners have a natural synergy, with each one carrying the torch of the original spirit of Ibiza whilst redefining it in its own special way.
