After an action-packed November featuring two Good Street Records nights in South London, and the Dalston Launch of Hyper Feet in March 2016, the pioneering footwork label from Leeds joins with London’s grassroots footwork night to deliver an esteemed night of Good Street DJs, Hyper Feet vibes, and not-to-be-missed headliners NameBrandSound.
Good Street Records is a pioneering footwork music label in the UK. Last November, Good Street raised its game with two fantastic nights of footwork in London. The first night featured artists from the UK, Spain and Canada, bringing the Iberian Juke squad and Footwork Jungle’s Homesick to the UK for the very first time. The second night was a pure Good Street showcase, demonstrating the best of the UK footwork scene and introducing Good Street’s London connection Ardwolf.
Ardwolf wanted to provide a regular night for London’s footwork scene, with a focus on bringing the dance to the fore. Having spoken to Traxman, DJ Spinn, and The Era Footwork Crew, he learned of their disappointment at the lack of footworking at parties in London. Keen to change this, he decided to involve as much of the UK footwork community as possible, inviting representatives of We Buy Gold, Trax Couture, Dred Collective, and of course the Good Street crew, for the launch of Hyper Feet at community venue The Hive, Dalston.
On July 2nd, Good Street and Hyper Feet join forces to present NameBrandSound, supported by the Good Street crew, at Bar a Bar in Dalston. Save the date, cop your tickets and let me see you juke!
