Starting off the Canada Day long weekend, we’ve got the prolific Lawrence making his long-awaited return to the country. If you’ve spent enough hours on the dancefloor, chances are that you’ve been moved by his distinct subtle grooves. Swaying gently between angelic peaks and melancholic lows, the Hamburg native has developed an inimitable sound that has found its way on labels such as Mule Musiq, Pampa, Kompakt, and Cocoon.. in addition to two seminal imprints which he co-founded: Dial and Smallville Records. Showing no sign with slowing down with his brilliant creations, his seventh and most recent full-length offering (Yoyogi Park) has been met with praise amongst DJs and fans alike. We’re honoured to be hosting such an esteemed artist for a rare performance.
Setting the tone for the night, we’ve got Toronto’s very own Gera. Having played some of Toronto’s best venues with artists such as Gerd Janson, John Talabot, and Nicolas Jaar, he has earned the respect of many for his gently-weaved sets. There are few DJs in the city with the combination of musical knowledge and mixing experience that Gera has, so we’re sure he’ll keep you captivated with his broad palette of sounds.
