- ROOTS UNITED PRESENTS: PRESENT PERFECT FESTIVAL, ST.PETERSBURG This year the festival of electronic music and contemporary art Present Perfect returns, aspiring to be even more successful, than last year. Its main concept is the display of contemporary cultural avant-garde forms: from the advanced electronic music to street art. The location for it remains the same: The Street Art Museum, which is the biggest Eastern European open air museum, where a new vast exposition has been created by artists from 13 other countries. The museum is located on the territory of an old, but still working spacious industrial factory. One of the characteristics of the Present Perfect is the feeling of intrigue. 4 main scenes start to open one after another during 19th hours of the festival, beginning in early evening and and finishing next day in the afternoon. The evening starts as an open-air picnic, guided by musical performances from international artists and seasoned with a special entertaining content, which is: sport activities, educational lectures, art, and also special family areas. By midnight the Present Perfect will be fully on. One of the most prominent foreign and local underground musicians will take the lead at the festival, supported by impressive visuals. Some of the musicians are preparing live acts, specially for the festival, and will be performed first time in Russia. The Present Perfect art collective aims to transform the industrial sight of the location into a functional and interesting space, which one will leave unwillingly. After long months of preparation, the space of the museum will be renewed specially for the festival, but without affecting already existing unique art works.
