- Lovers Rock x Good Room Rising Brooklyn label Lovers Rock Recordings has been releasing a cache of incredible psychedelic techno and lush ambient. Run by Ital, this showcase will feature performances by some of the label’s best artists plus a special headlining set by dub techno legend DeepChord. Detroit’s DeepChord has been exploring a uniquely powerful strain of dub techno for the past fifteen years. His performances are stunning descents into a reverb-drenched underworld where crashing waves of static wash overtop throbbing low end, weaving intricately hazy melodic tapestries. He plays a peak time live set. The Lovers Rock family helms the rest of the night. Recent addition Gunnar Haslam plays a live set of jacking modular acid. LR’s key artist Earthen Sea joins from San Francisco. His recent album Ink was a gorgeous exploration of haunting ambience; Resident Advisor called it “immaculate… inspired by the dense fog, striking beaches and hilly horizons of San Francisco.” Brooklyn fav DJ Wey teams up Will DiMaggio under their Sweet & Low alias. Seasoned diggers with an effortless chemistry, they’re bringing a house party vibe to the Bad Room all night.
