Also on board for the journey is the dub wizard Twilight Circus, along with Amsterdam duo Cut It Dub and Bassculture Foundation bossman Selektor Depender! Special Guest MCs TBA !!!!! Ticket info coming soon. Run go tell dem!!!! THE BUG Kevin Martin has used many aliases and collaborated with a wide variety of musicians including Justin Broadrick of Godflesh (most notably as Techno Animal), DJ Vadim, The Rootsman (as Razor X Productuctions), Kevin Shields, El-P, and John Zorn, since 1997 before dropping his seminal album “London Zoo” as The Bug on Ninja Tune in 2008. It was a record grown out of the heart of London sound-system culture and multi-cultural meltdown, as much as product of witnessing the early dub-step scene in the UK, as well as a unique detonation of dancehall, grime, hip-hop, and noise onslaughts. Vocalists Warrior Queen and Flowdan featured prominently on “London Zoo”, and would be followed by collaborations including Death Grips, Earth, Grouper, Mala, Daddy Freddy, Copeland, Miss Red, Manga, Lady Chann and Riko Dan, on his equally ferocious 2014 LP “Angels & Devils”, “Acid Ragga” singles, and subsequent EPs. “The Bug” has since toured the world, including supporting Nine Inch Nails across the US, with his monstruous dub-noise shows featuring an array of fresh and rough MCs packing loads of heat on top of his famously body-slamming beats. MISS RED Miss Red bust outta Haifa Israel, when she grabbed the mic at an impromptu Bug set in Tel Aviv 2011. Already a member of the ’80’s dancehall obsessed, Easy Rider crew, she and her fellow reggae addicted posse, had spent teenage years cuttin teeth playing sound system shows in Israel. But when she hit record decks hard with ‘Diss Mi Army’ in 2012, released on The Bug’s Acid Ragga imprint(thru Ninja Tune), her sights were set on global domination. Inspired by the likes of Sister Nancy, Lady Ann and Toyan, her love of dancehall’s golden age of microphone murderers, ensured her infectious chatting on the mic, captured the ears of audiences in Europe and America. Miss Red jumped stages with her live band 3421, and The Bug, regularly over the last 4 years, appearing at festivals like OUTLOOK, FUSION, UNSOUND, SUPERSONIC etc… And now having also previously released the ‘Goodbye’ 7” single on Acid Ragga, and ‘Nah Bwoy’ with Bim One on the Scotch Bonnet label(via Mungo’s Hi-fi), Sharon Stern aka Miss Red, drops her first mixtape, ‘Murder’. With rhythmic heavy artillery, and lyrical guns blazing, she enlisted the likes of Andy Stott, Mumdance, Stereotyp, Mark Pritchard and Evian Christ, alongside Acid Ragga pioneer The Bug, to fire up any dance, and the tape clearly indicates the ferocious potential of this pint sized MC. The tape has already been spun on radio by Toddla T, and Mary Anne Hobbs. And CRACK magazine recently slotted it into their albums of 2015 chart, before it was even officially released ... ! With features in The FADER, FACT, CRACK, THE WIRE, PASSION OF THE WEISS etc..The tape is makin a deep impression. With releases planned for Necessary Mayhem, and Jahtari in 2016, Miss Red has ram raided public consciousness militantly, with a BIG BANG ! TWILIGHT CIRCUS Twilight Circus is the dub and reggae project of multi-instrumentalist Ryan Moore, former bassist and drummer of the Legendary Pink Dots. With Twilight Circus, Ryan Moore has worked with a wide range of respected figures from the dub, reggae and electronic genres including: Sly and Robbie, Dean Fraser, Luciano, Michael Rose (Black Uhuru) Big Youth, Mikey General, Big Youth, Skully Simms, Vin Gordon (Bob Marley), Earl "Chinna" Smith (Bob Marley), Eddie 'Tan Tan' Thornton (Aswad), Buttons Tenyue /Matics Horns (UB40), Ansel Collins, Style Scott (Dub Syndicate), Bobby Ellis ( Studio One), Admiral Tibet, Jah Stitch, Sugar Minott, Queen Ifrica, Lutan Fyah, Fred Locks, Gregory Isaacs, Mafia & Fluxy, Cevin Key (Skinny Puppy), DJ Spooky, Gaudi, Adrian Sherwood and The Mad Professor. Moore's fascination with dub began in the early 1980s inspired by the nexus of punk rock and dub which film maker Don Letts forged in London, along with the futuristic possibilities hinted at by cyberpunk author William Gibson in Neuromancer. Throughout the 80's he obsessively collected every dub LP he could find, which included Jamaican dub from legends like King Tubby, Prince Jammy, Lee Perry and Scientist as well as 2nd-generation figures operating from London like Adrian Sherwood, Mad Professor, and Jah Shaka. Since being the opening act for Skinny Puppy side project Download on their 1996 World tour and several tours billed with the Legendary Pink Dots, Twilight Circus has maintained a busy schedule playing all over the World on nearly every continent, including major festivals like Dour Festival (Belgium), Summerjam (Germany), Fuji Rock Festival (Japan),,One Love Festival (UK), Asagiri Jam (Japan), & Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (USA). CUT IT DUB Dj Vette Mette & Mc Pauluz are Cut It Dub, a dub/reggae live performance act. These guys are rocking stages, festivals, and clubs for more then 4 years.Live often with percussion and/or trompet/sax, its always fresh and crispy… Leaning on the gold age of dub, combined with the newest and the hottest tracks around, they are armed to the teeth to give the people a experience of dub wise! Vette Mette is a veteran as a selector in de Amsterdam Reggae scene, and still going strong… Mc Pauluz is a singer/songwriter/studio owner/ who has found his niche by improvising over the selections of his partner in crime Mette. They love to manipulate the sounds with delays and special effects, you can call them the strangers in our midst, but they have got respect from the scene just by doing what they do. Currently they are making a fresh new track which is gonna be released during ADE 2016! SELEKTOR DEPENDER Founder of Bassculture Foundation, Producer and programmer of We Come One. Selektor Depender aka Marko Depender plays strictly vinyl, but loves all other carriers too. His selection is a blend of miscellaneous and obscure sounds, dubz and steppa orientated, deadly basslines and experimental combinations. He released his first 12″ together with Filtercutter: ‘Dub Carruseles’ on Bassculture.nl and Sozialistischer Plattenbau label. More 7” were produced and came out in 2015, featuring releases by Earl Sixteen, Bassculture Family Band, Istari Lasterfahrer and Dub Creator.
