Tomorrow Today is Seth Troxler and RUN’s vision of an environment that forces you see things in a new light, a unique experience undefinable by time. Visitors find themselves in a city trapped between two worlds, where modern ideas of technology are merged with human perceptions of mythical civilisations, such as Atlantis and Paititi: City of Gold. The artists’ concept of a clash of worlds aims to challenge visitors’ perception of reality, asking them to question where our current trajectory is taking us. These worlds come alive through this experience, between these two different time frames. Ultimately finding oneself in a new place – a state of Tomorrow, Today, at the Art Bar. Tomorrow Today is the latest in the series of site-specific Absolut Art Bars by some of the world’s most exciting young artists.
Street artist RUN has created a series of murals in his signature style which are featured throughout his Art Bar. Seth Troxler and RUN have also collaborated with lighting and artist agency, ATO (Louis Castro) who will create an immersive, nuanced light installation for Tomorrow Today, building on the overall concept of the Absolut Art Bar.
The Art Bar will feature a changing nightly program of live music, DJ sets, and performances by special guests, curated by Seth Troxler.
The installation includes food from Troxler’s BBQ and Grill, Smokey Tails, for the first time outside of the UK. Tomorrow Today also features one-of-a-kind Artist Cocktails designed by Seth Troxler and his team at Smokey Tails, and inspired by the overall themes of his Art Bar, incorporating citrus notes and earthy spices with futuristic components.
