New Years Day 2017 sees WHP opening for its longest ever party – a mammoth 12 hour blow out running from 5pm until 5am. This is far and away the biggest house and techno line up Store Street has ever seen, and a major chapter in WHP’s ongoing story. With a line up representing everyone who has made noise in dance in 2016, from international big room staples such as Ben Klock and Marcell Dettmann to unique innovators such as DJ Koze and KiNK who have constantly pushed the boundaries of house, there is serious depth on display. The UK’s finest are all present and correct with Jackmaster, Bicep, George Fitzgerald, Hessle Audio Soundsystem, Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, Pangaea, Midland, Boddika, Artwork, Denis Sulta and Palm Trax reading like the near definitive answer to the question “who are the biggest British DJs of the last 5 years?” – and that’s before we even mention other international stars such as Gerd Janson, who’s Tuff City Kids project has caused such excitement this year, or Mike Servito, described by The Black Madonna (who we’d say knows a thing or two) as one of the best unsung DJs in the world…
