We’ve had three great Banana Hill events at The Yard Theatre so far and we’ve been blown away by the fantastic reception from those who’ve come. From Habibi Funk’s Arabic disco, to Umoja’s carnival creations and more recently, to Puto Márcio’s Portuguese flavours, we’ve really been on an exciting voyage through some of the world’s most cutting-edge dancefloor movements.
For our next event, we’re going to be celebrating Cervo’s first ever release on R2 Records, and also having a little party for JVC, who the week after will be moving to Sweden to take advantage of our glorious EU unity and free movement before it’s too late. There may even be a couple of guest DJs showing their wares.
But what can you expect? Well, it promises to be a tombola of tropical tunes and global grooves, with copious jazz and soul on the side. Come and shake your collective booties to a cacophony of Kuduro, summery Samba soundscapes and audacious Afro-house acoustics.
