Tony Humphries is one of those rare, truly legendary DJs whose impact on nightclubbing the world over is immeasurable. As the resident of New Jersey’s Club Zanzibar, he was a part of the first group of DJs to draw partygoers from the fledging discotheques of New York, helping take house music to a new, national scale in its early days. It’s a pleasure to welcome a DJ steeped in such clubbing history to our own basement space.
Joining Tony is Chicago groove legend, Sadar Bahar. He’s a DJ’s DJ, he plays records others won’t – partly due to his bold and astute curation and partly due to a lifetime’s obsession with hunting down the rarest of house and disco grooves. You’re in for a memorable night with Sadar behind the controls.
Taking over Room 2 is Thunder, the long-running East London party famed for its underground house sessions at Dance Tunnel, which will bring a perfectly complimentary sound for a night with two Amercian legends.
