  • ★ Final Ticket Release - Any Time Entry To Day & Night + Queue Jump ★ ★ Day Party - Free Entry Before 5:30pm RSVP at www.reviveher.com ★ To celebrate the launch of REVIVEHER RECORDS and our 6th Birthday, we return with another FREE open air, day into night spectacular at a huge open air space and adjacent basement in the heart of East London. Stay tuned... Expect a marathon 16 hours of music: Earth debut from inaugural REVIVEHER Records artist Sultan Shakes feat. Mystery Jets (Live) and headline DJ sets from two of our favourite DJs of all time: RHER001 remixers, Rub N Tug and Young Marco. Two more special guests TBA and several other friends, old and new, join us across the day and night. ★ Free Open Air Day Party - Red Market / Last Days Of Shoreditch ★ ★ RSVP www.reviveher.com for free entry before 5:30pm ★ ★ Rub N Tug, Michael Ozone, Nick The Record, Lola Luc Added To Line Up ★ This follows the only REVIVEHER event of 2016 so far; another soiree with Munich crew Public Possession where eclectic sounds ruled the night in a warehouse that has since been demolished. One of the last Bell Towers gigs before he left for Berlin… many lost their minds and some even lost their shoes on the dancefloor. It was a special night. The label launch party builds on the success of our summer day party on The Jetty last year. A Free open air spectacle set on a floating pier aside The Thames in Greenwich, where DJ Nature, Tornado Wallace and Suzanne Kraft attracted 1800 people. It’s so historical and memorable that we decided we had to do it all over again. This being our only (summer) date of the year. ★ Check out that party in this video here: http://bit.ly/2aN8EOm ★ Continuing efforts to bring back that sense of mystery that defined the pre-internet era of clubbing, REVIVEHER have located a beautiful open air space in the heart of east London which we are keeping under wraps for the time being. But believe us, this is a venue truly befitting of the occasion and we’ve made it extra special. We’ll be making the most of this beautiful open space with terraced bar, by relocating the DJ booth; making sure no corner is left untouched by adding our own high grade TPI Sound + Alpha Recording System, to unleash high fidelity bliss, with the sunshine vibes refracting off a huge bespoke mirrorball installation suspended overhead. ★ BY DAY (2pm – 10:30pm) ★ The vibes will be conducted through a day time headline ‘Dr Dunks” session from Eric Duncan, along with two very special guests TBA. One is making their UK debut and we fully expect them to take us to the “Oh!” zone; the other is a veritable party LifeForce. In support the trusted REVIVEHER residents Bi-Bop and Nick Hadfield, plus young upstart Minus Kendal of NTS/Balamii show Party Socks. Within the vicinity, a cozy second space with natural light and flowing cocktails provides an audiophile’s retreat: selections from local London DJ/promoter units Heels & Souls and Crucial & Fresh, as well as Michele of Alpha Recording System himself. ★ BY NIGHT (10pm – 6am) - ADV Tickets or Pay On The Door ★ As night descends, Sultan Shakes takes to the reigns underground next door - amplifying the raw basement vibe with an arcane live show featuring an intergalactic dance troupe and his earthling friends from Mystery Jets. In the aftermath of this otherworldly, one of a kind ceremony, 6 further hours of cosmic madness from Rub N Tug and Young Marco extend that lost sense of ecstasy we’ve been waiting so long for, before a three way back to back session to take us through till dawn. A second room will be entrusted with the ever capable party-starting hands of REVIVEHER residents Bi-Bop and Nick Hadfield, plus friends and family. Complete with wooden dancefloor, the usual balloon-tastic touches, low slung couches and thirst quenching cocktails, this offers the perfect contrast to the cosmic frenzy unfolding below. FREE guestlist for the daytime party is in high demand so sign up quick www.reviveher.com Scoop advance tickets for the headline event in the evening to ensure queue jump & guaranteed entry for both. ADV tickets from RA or Ransom Note. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Sultan Shakes Feat. Mystery Jets Live (REVIVEHER) Sultan Shakes is an otherworldly being drawn to Planet Earth by the deep vibrations of love on the dance floors of REVIVEHER.  The reckless abandon and ecstasy of those parties are channeled into the Sultan Shakes experience: a psychedelic trip with an eastern twist, featuring live vocals, synths, percussion and a special appearance from earthlings Mystery Jets. Sultan's ceremony recalls rituals performed by humans since the birth of civilisation. Symbols and silhouettes projecting transcendent visions. Call and response unlocking deep empathic rhythms. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Rub N Tug (Eric Duncan & Thomas Bullock) - NYC Rub N Tug duo Eric Duncan and Thomas Bullock have form when it comes to heralding new eras in the ReviveHER story. Two years ago they helped launch ReviveHER event space StudioWHO and now they revive the iconic Rub N Tug name to celebrate the launch of ReviveHER Records. Due to their in-demand work and DJing schedules, Rub N Tug appearances behind the decks or on wax are a rarity these days. The long-mooted and often-mentioned debut Rub N Tug album featuring 7-hour long “fucked up ZZ Top dance jams” is still yet to surface! We are doubly thrilled Eric and Thomas wanted in on the Sultan Shakes remixes as well as helping to celebrate the label launch with a DJ set at this 16 hour party though; their first Rub N Tug DJ set in London since the end of 2014. The Rub N Tug story breathes New York but it was in fact a fateful meeting on the West Coast that first brought Bullock and Duncan together. A Los Angeles native, Eric Duncan cut his teeth DJing out of his friend Paul T (of Sarcastic Disco fame), and was motivated to move to NYC when a spur-of-the-moment job opportunity that came up whilst working for the X-Large streetwear label. Less than 24 hours in the five boroughs, Duncan had his first gig which soon turned into a full-time job. Back in LA for those now-legendary Wax parties hosted by Sarcastic in 1997, which happened to be the West Coast debut for DJ Harvey, Duncan was introduced to opening DJ Thomas Bullock. Part of the legendary Tonka Crew (with RV) that ruled Cambridge in the late ‘80s, Bullock had moved to San Francisco in 1991 and helped shape the West Coast rave culture as part of Wicked Sound System - recently anointed among the top 10 house music DJs by Time Out New York. By the time of this Sarcastic party, Bullock had swapped coastlines and moved to New York, where his first musical leaning there was a band with a group of young upstarts called A.R.E Weapons, whose foundations were in punk and free jazz. Becoming disorientated with their direction and with his ethos of disco’s roots being very punk, Thomas turned his attention back to DJing at downtown house parties. “All these great parties but no music to match, so we stepped in. Someone had to do it. It was the same thing when I was 14. Somebody's throwing a party, you show up with the records and take care of it, make sure the party's gonna be a good one. That's really why Rub N Tug was born, out of necessity—everyone wanted to go somewhere and do something. We played the sounds.” This lead to the pair throwing riotous parties of their own with a freewheeling style, careening through genre and era with aplomb in the loft space of a 'rub-and-tug' Chinese massage parlour. We played the sounds. A name was born, and Rub N Tug soon became an integral cog in the mid-’00s NYC underground. For Rub N Tug it was never a case of ‘do you play disco?’ but rather a case of ‘do you disco?’ This movement and way of thinking was encapsulated on their Better With A Spoonful Of Leather mix CD for ANYThing in 2006 and countless, timeless edits, and replicated on mixes for Dummy, Beats In Space and Resident Advisor The past decade has seen Bullock and Duncan reaffirm their status as continent-hopping selectors of the highest repute, whilst supplying hungry hands and ears with an irregular stream of edit and remix-shaped Rub N Tug gold - spanning the deep underground to massive remixes of Roxy Music and LCD Soundsystem. Amidst all this, the pair have maintained their creative chi through a wealth of other projects and collaborations. As part of Still Going, Duncan delivered one of the definitive 12”s to be released on DFA with Still Going Theme, whilst his Dr. Dunks output has skyrocketed in recent years. Along with a succession of Golf Channel collaborations with The Rhythm Odyssey, the Dr. Dunks name has delivered high-quality remixes for the discothèque on labels like Endless Flight, International Feel and The Vinyl Factory. The perennial jetsetter, Duncan is on a near constant tour schedule in clubs and festivals throughout Europe, South America and Japan, with his cult status their secured by multiple trips over the past decade with Thomas as Rub N Tug and more recently by his involvement with the C.O.M.B.I. and Keep It Cheap crew. Bullock’s projects have become more singular with time; the mythical lost Laughing Light of Plenty album with Eddie ‘Secret Circuit’ Ruscha, Map of Africa project with DJ Harvey (still waiting on their 2nd) and elusive Welcome Stranger work recently supplanted by even more daring trips into the outer cosmos. An interest in Mezcal extends to distributing his own brand, Spirit Bear Mezcal, and oversee the Spirit Bear Mezcal Ensemble, a live performing collective that jams after engaging with the magic potion. Complementing this, Bullock’s ever-daring and aesthetically delicious STD Records acts as a platform for his own genre-defying Tom Of England solo work. The alchemy when these two are in control of the decks has always been special but we fully expect new levels of euphoria to be channelled as Eric and Thomas “revive” Rub and the Tug in the ReviveHER basement. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Young Marco (Rush Hour/ESP Institute/Dekmantel) Another previous ReviveHER guest, Young Marco augments a killer Sultan Shakes remix (that’s been given super early support from the Amstderam and Rush Hour camp, as well as the ESP institute extended family) with a DJ set at our label launch as the midnight hours set in and the live set draws to a close. At a time when Young Marco is booked out to play international festivals and superclubs, you can consider this return to ReviveHER a rare chance to see him in a more intimate environment. How best to cram in everything Young Marco has achieved since his UK debut helped set it off at that infamous ReviveHER loft party at Mother Studios and Boiler Room show with Tim Sweeney and Land Of Light back in 2012? He’s since outgrown his Rush Hour-anointed status as a bonafide Amsterdam All Star, now standing as one of the most in-demand DJs, replicating a fast rising path trodden by previous ReviveHER guests like Jackmaster, Bicep and SOPHIE. Young Marco was schooled in the art of digging by local Amsterdam icons like Antal, Tako and Orpheu the Wizard, setting in him a desire and passion for “strange music” and “unclassics”. This plays out in DJ sets, podcasts and online mixes that encompass everything from B-side new age curios, forgotten afro gems and middle eastern disco to proto house, Motor City soul and Jack tracks. The simmering humidity that characterises his DJ sets has become as much a hallmark of his growing production work too. Those early 12”s and remixes that set the tone and had us very excited, laid the groundwork for some truly stunning albums. We have ESP Institute to thank for bringing us the aural paradise that is Young Marco’s debut album, Biology, whilst that other bastion of new age bliss, Music From Memory, put Sterk in an Amsterdam studio with Venetian legend Gigi Masin and another ReviveHER favourite, Jonny Nash, resulting in the delicious Gaussian Curve LP. These projects have further strengthened Sterk’s status as a unique voice, and expect this to grow even more as 2016 rolls on. A new Young Marco album is due through the Island Explorer series from Bali-based label Island of The Gods (operated by another previous guest); followed by the latest installment of Dekmantel’s Selectors compilation series. If there was “one young” DJ to name check that encapsulates the spirit of ReviveHER, it might just be Young Marco, so we are thrilled to see him back to help launch the label. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ MICHAEL OZONE (ESP Institute / Home Loan Recs / Sydney) Soaring in for a long-awaited UK debut, REVIVEHER are very happy to have ESP Institute and Home Loan absurdist Michael Ozone confirmed to fill the wonderful open space of our day time venue with his boundary-crossing esoteric selections in support of Dr Dunks. Operating out of Melbourne, Ozone is making a rare appearance outside of Australia and joins Roland Tings, Perks And Mini / P.A.M. founder Mischa Hollenbach, Tornado Wallace and Animals Dancing duo Otologic in the illustrious line of REVIVEHER guests hailing from the Australian city. It was the Perfect Systems 12” for LA’ s ESP Institute that introduced the world to the afro-centric new beat charms of Michael Ozone, inviting dancefloors across the world to bask in his unique, throbbing amalgamations of giallo disco, new age and tribal flair. Supported by everyone from Jane Fitz to Daniel Avery and Suzanne Kraft via Alexis Le Tan and Future Times act Protect-U, Perfect Systems was the sound of that summer. Lovefingers loved it so much he soon issued equally memorable remixes from Steve Summers and another label launch guest, Young Marco. Future Ozone blissouts have been restricted to a standout contribution to the Oceans Apart primer on Australian music from Cut Copy's Cutters label but his talents have been on display as manager and director of Home Loan Records. Something of a cult concern, Home Loan has served up early helpings from hyped Australian acts NO ZU, Zanzibar Channel and Andras Fox. After a brief time away from the scene Ozone follows up with his own original 12” production on Home Loan. For an idea of what to expect when the elusive Ozone takes to the REVIVEHER decks for his UK debut, we recommend you familiarise yourselves with his newly launched Ozone Energy show on NTS Radio The monthly show sees Ozone mixing weird tribal ambience with contemporary esoteric electronics. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ NICK THE RECORD “I have a house full of garage and a garage full of house.” That’s how DJ Nick The Record describes his vinyl obsession, but this selector, digger and dealer can go much deeper and wider than that. We are excited to reveal Nick will be making his REVIVEHER debut, packing an assortment of gems from his deep vinyl collection to wow those in the daytime crowd at our label launch. For those that aren’ t familiar, Nick is a bit of a legend who was bitten by the vinyl bug as an eight year old, got his first residency as a teenager in his hometown of St Albans and later landed in London to cut his teeth DJing in the early ‘ 90s. Like many proper DJs at the time, Nick dealt vinyl in various London record stores (most sadly no longer with us) and his nights cultivating a style of selecting that went across the board. Building a rep from his residency at Quirky, Nick would become a fixture of the underground parties in the thriving warehouse party scene in London, as well as the outdoor free parties and music festivals that defined the early ‘ 90s summers. An invitation to spin at Moist, DJ Harvey’s mid-week antidote to corporate clubbing is mark of Nick’ s growing cachet during this period. In late 93, he visited Japan for the first time and this is where the legend of Nick The Record was set in stone. Booked to play the very first open air Rave/Party in Japan at a festival in the mountains of Nagano, Nick’ s acid and house selections that night have since been discussed in hushed, reverential tones. Nick was soon asked to return and the Lifeforce party was born with him as a resident for the next two decades. A more detailed rundown on the Lifeforce story in Nick’ s own words can be read over at our friends, Testpressing: http://testpressing.org/2014/12/nick-the-record-a-lifeforce-story/ REVIVEHER have spent plenty of time in Japan and can bear witness to the fact that Nick The Record is a true legend to those that know there, with the LifeForce party overseeing a shift in nightlife mentality from clubbing to a freer sense of partying. He’ s moved on from Lifeforce and is now in his 12th year as a resident at Taicoclub, another open air festival in Nagano, Japan. Described as a highlight of his year, Taico Club entrust Nick with the festival’ s closing set in the evocatively-named Echo Forest, a stage set in a valley surrounded by trees which acts as a natural amphitheatre. This residency has only added to his legend status in Japan, leading to Nick being invited to the country’ s best clubs whilst on tour - WOMB (Official), Ebisu Liquid Room, CLUB MAGO, Oppa-la Dinner and the mecca for DJ’ s DJs that is Precious Hall. Check Nick’ s mix at the Enoshima venue Oppa-La (which doubles up as a curry house by day) here: http://testpressing.org/2016/07/mix-nick-the-record-live-at-oppa-la/ Closer to home, Nick’ s reputation as crate digger extraordinaire has grown slowly thanks to his record buying and dealing at the helm of DJ Friendly specialising in the 12” format. Forget Discogs, Nick is an old school dealer that travels to visit international fairs and regular clients worldwide on record mission trips. Consequently he’s rumoured to have one of the best 12” collections in the country. Nick was playing proper disco and boogie records when no one else was during much of the 90s. He’ s a true scholar of all things disco, soul, funk, hip hop, house and everything in between. This has manifested itself in his music production over the years, which includes the Soul Ascendants on iconic London label Nuphonic, a late ‘ 90s project with Tim Hutton. Together they recorded an album, Variations, that featured iconic drummer Tony Allenen and delivered a deep afro house burner, “Tribute,” which paid homage to Fela Kuti and became an underground hit in New York and Japan. NYC house and garage deities Timmy Regisford, Joe Claussell and François K were known to sometimes treat dancers at Body & SOUL and The Shelter to three airings of the track in one night. His position as one of the foremost music connoisseurs is the reason Nick was asked to provide liner notes for an Original compilation from Claremont 56, why he got invited to showcase his compiling skills on Under The Influence and Disco Juice compilations for Z Records and Counterpoint. This is the reason Dekmantel sought DJ Nick The Record out for their inaugural Selectors festival in Tisno this year alongside Motor City Drum Ensemble (a regular customer), Sassy J, Antal RH, Lena Willikens and Hunee Nick is currently overseeing the Record Mission edits label with Dan Idjut Boys which is three releases deep and riding high in the Juno charts with each one, but despite his cult status he’ s very selective of his DJ gigs. Outside of the irregular Tangent selections sessions with Rush Hour digger John Gómez, Nick chooses only the gigs he knows he will enjoy. We are therefore thrilled Nick will be pulling from one of the best collections of rare 12”s in the UK to help extend the daytime vibes alongside Dr Dunks, Michael Ozone and the REVIVEHER residents. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ LOLA LUC (Berlin) Adding a Berlin touch to the label launch debauchery, we are excited to add another UK debutant in rising selector Lola Luc who joins the rotating cast of REVIVEHER friends and family in Room 2. If you’ve spent any amount of time in Berlin lately, you’ve probably spotted Lola Luc behind the decks effortlessly slipping between house, disco, afrobeat, US garage and more. She’s currently a resident at Berlin club Chalet Club "Official" and has played alongside everyone from Jackmaster and Derrick Carter to Whities man Tasker, Peggy Gou and Far Away’s Cooper Saver. We’ve heard Lola Luc has some special productions in the works but it’s as a DJ that she’s currently getting talked about, with bookings in Leipzig and further afield as well as online mixes for GROOVE-Magazin and the excellent Berlin label Nous ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ REVIVEHER residents Bi-Bop and Nick Hadfield Expect REVIVEHER residents, Bi-Bop and Nick Hadfield, to play as integral a role in the development of the label as they have at the past six years of parties. A pair of Sultan Shakes remixes from the duo feature on the label’s debut release and will be followed by further reworks and original studio productions. Now is their time to become future heroes. REVIVEHER residents will be on hand to shape the vibe throughout the 16 hours, augmenting the sunshine with fresh cuts and perhaps the odd future REVIVEHER Records exclusive. Come night time, Bi-Bop, Nick and some of the day’s guests will be joined by one or two more guests TBA to round off the friends and family celebrations in room 2. Crucial & Fresh This DJ unit by way of London and Edinburgh make their REVIVEHER debut and promise to add a sense of dance casual to day time fun and frolics in our audiophile hideout. George Astroturf and Tom “Semi Deluxe” Russell have been bringing the Crucial & Fresh sound far and wide, through their regular radio show, “New Business” dances at The Pickle Factory and DJ gigs everywhere this summer from Farm Festival to The Beat Hotel - Glastonbury. Expect “thought leadership disco, blue sky Balearica and curveball house.” Heels & Souls Some foolish people get into club promoting for the money and the fame; Heels & Souls do it for much more altruistic reasons. Patrick Forrester and Ben Croft have been hosting their genre-spanning Heels & Souls nights in some of London’s more intimate spaces for the past 18 months, booking open-minded DJs and donating profits to a range of charities from Warchild to Key Changes. Alongside their parties, Forrester and Croft also host a bi-weekly Heels & Souls show on Reprezent Radio and are also involved in Boiler Room, Hideout Festival Croatia and rising online platform Stamp The Wax. Having been impressed by their approach, we’ve invited Heels & Souls residents Patrick & Ben to lay down some supreme selections in the daytime second room. Good Block DJ / Art collective Good Block are the latest and final addition to room 2 at night. They have been running parties across London for over 4 years now featuring the likes of Jon K, Sean P Boogie, Nick The Record, Sacha Mambo, Cosmic Slop, Glowing Palms, Bradley Zero, Phonica Records, Apiento Test Pressing and many more. Residents Richard Foe, P.D, Thomas Treasure and Party Carter play an eclectic mix of percussive synth ladened rhythms from across the globe that will fire up any dancefloor. Minus Kendal (Party Socks/NTS Radio/ Balamii Radio) Working in the music industry since a young age, Minus Kendal has an eclectic taste that proceeds his years. As the founder of Party Socks he hosts his own radio shows on NTS Radio and Balamii Radio, with a long running mix series seeing the likes of In Flagranti, Timothy J. Fairplay and Rollerboys' Mans Ericsson and even has time to run events around London, all whilst studying for his A-Levels. Minus is a true crate digger, and can be found playing anything from gospel to krautrock to techno and disco and all the stops inbetween. Check out his shows below. Michi NYC Alpha Recording System Alpha Recording System is a high-end Japanese audio company; take a peek in the studio of any DJ who doesn’t compromise on quality and it's likely they’ll have ARS products. Their 6700 model rotary mixer, designed in accordance with DJ Harvey is a resident fixture at REVIVEHER parties. Michele is the head honcho of Alpha Europe and we are delighted to have him back behind the decks to provide daytime selections as well as provide the finishing touches in all 4 DJ booths at our 6th birthday / label launch celebration.
