Vera's timeless music selection, subtle mixing style, and authentic, elegant appearance behind the decks has been impressing clubbers and promoters all around the globe for over 15 years. Constantly evolving and picking up impulses, she follows her intuition rather than trends, and continues to surprise us with unexpected sets that have a humble, female touch. Having recently launched one of 2016's most exciting new labels, Melliflow, we're very happy to welcome this true artist to Toronto for the first time.
Matt Thibideau (Obsolete Components, Assemble Music, All Inn Black) | Toronto
Matt Thibideau's love of analog synthesis runs deep, making industrial sounds with his first machines in 1990 followed by a headlong dive into the late-90s Toronto techno scene. As well as contributing to labels run by the likes of Daniel Lui (Chair), Mike Shannon (Cynosure), Matt established his now-legendary imprint Blue Recordings, which saw a run of 9 releases including the exemplary Polarized and Further EPs from his Altitude moniker. In the early 2000s he was also signed to Cologne label Sub Static under the alias Coordinates. Matt has performed his all-analog live set around the world, as well as working with his brother Mark and vocalist Dawn Lewis on the Repair project, dedicated to the broken but not forgotten synths lying around his studio.
