  • Venues in order of events being held: Elmhurst Park - Saturday. The Table - Saturday. The Red Lion - Saturday. The Tea Hut - Sunday. The Anchor - Sunday. The Riverside (Club Night) - Sunday Celebrated DJ, Diesel, of chart topping dance act X Press 2, will be joined by Balearic disco and Cafe Del Mar (Ibiza) DJ Phil Mison and Balearic legends The Woodentops, who headlined at this year’s Latitude Festival on the Alcove stage. They play in advance of the release of their anticipated ‘Why Why Why’ remix single - coming out on Wall Of Sound a week after the festival. This year also sees the launch of Woodbridge Ambient Music Event, a new programming strand inspired by the town’s pioneering music icon, Brian Eno. The strand is dedicated to both Ambient and Electronic music - two genres that Eno was instrumental in developing. Headlining the new strand, Ambient chill out legend Phil Mison will play on Saturday, sprinkling some of his Ibizan sundown magic over the adjacent river. Two members of the cult indie pop band Salad, who scored a Top 20 LP in the mid Nineties but split up 18 years ago, are to re-form to play Woodbridge Art and Music Event. They appear alongside emerging London band Ten Fé, who’ve been scoring radio play on BBC Radio 1 and 6 and notched up two million spottily plays in two months with their single Elodie. Seminal 1960s electronic band White Noise were responsible for releasing the first electronic LP in the UK. They're famous for creating their own instruments and will debut a new show at this year’s festival. Amongst the local bands playing are electronic improvisation band Deben Collective, electro sea folk band Aatrwork, drum 'n' bass DJ Cartel, soul duo nonsuchdjs, Woodbridge singer song writer Peter Hepworth and celebrated jazz singer Kelly Pritchard and guitarist Kevin Walford. Festival curator DJ Ben Osborne will be returning to play his residency at The Riverside for one of his popular Club Nights on Sunday 28 August. The festival will for the first time include Band Stand, a day of free music in Elmhurst Park on Saturday 27 August, which will also be a fund raising day, collecting money for music equipment in local schools. It will followed by the customary events in different venues around the town in the evening. A second day of events will kick off at the Tea Hut on Sunday 28 August and move onto the Club Night in the Riverside arts complex. Woodbridge Art and Music Event is a weekend of music and cross platform art held in the medieval market town of Woodbridge , on a salt water river on the East Coast. It features innovative acts from a broad range of musical genres and is organised by electronic music and art collective Noise of Art. Band Stand for schools is being backed by District Councillor Patti Mulcahy. The Ambient Music Event strand is being supported by County ccillor Caroline Page. We are very grateful to both for their continued support for the arts. This year’s Woodbridge festival will follow a London launch party, at the Big Chill Bar, Brick Lane , on Friday 26 August, where festival founder, Ben Osborne, has a long running residency. Previous Woodbridge Art and Music Events have included world renown acts such as Orbital, Danny Rampling, Polar Bear, Coldcut, , TY, Justin Robertson, Red Snapper, The Reflex, Horse Meat Disco DJs and many others
