Banana Hill & Festival of the Mind team up to bring a special evening of electronic music to the incredible Spiegeltent in Sheffield city centre.
We're super excited to welcome FaltyDL over from the US for a DJ set with his unique blend of organic and electronic sounds, plus a live show from Sheffield-based Da Rico.
FaltyDL (Ninja Tune / Planet Mu - USA)
Drew Lustman aka FaltyDL was born and grew up in New Haven, Connecticut. These days he lives in Brooklyn, New York. Releasing music for Planet Mu, Ramp, Rush Hour, 50 Weapons, Hemlock, Swamp81, his own Blueberry Records imprint and, of course, Ninja Tune, he has recorded three albums (Love Is A Liability, You Stand Uncertain and Hardcourage) and will share his fourth LP In The Wild on 11th August 2014. Effortlessly fusing hip hop, footwork, jazz, soul, house, garage & flecks of jungle with outernational influences, it's fair to bill him as one of the most unique artists of recent times.
He has also toured with James Blake; opened for Radiohead; and remixed for the likes of Seun Kuti, Photek & The xx.
Da Rico [live]
After a stunning live show at Tramlines this year, we had to invite Patrick McMahon aka Da Rico back to play. He brings his hybrid electronic live show with horns & percussion to the Spiegeltent - expect music to feed to soul, bringing together hip hop & jazz with broken beat, dub and house.

Co-founder of Banana Hill, Cervo had his first release this year via R2 Records.
