Morph bewijst dat techno meer is dan alleen clubmuziek
The Rest is Noise en Morph - de naam van de clubavond van dj/producer/labelbaas Reggy Van Oers - organiseren een avond waarin een breed elektronisch spectrum wordt verkend in combinatie met krachtige visuals. Verwacht een avond die opbouwt van ambient naar sfeervolle techno met uitstapjes naar drones en experimentele soundscapes. Naast RVO (Reggy van Oers), treden ook grootmeester Murcof, het Italiaanse duo Dadub (Daniele Antezza & Giovanni Conti) en de Italiaans/Berlijnse technokunstenaar Dubit (Pier Alfeo) op.
Murcof
De Mexicaanse producer/componist Murcof staat bekend om een specifieke vorm van ‘sampletronica’. Door minimale ritmes te combineren met klassieke, dramatische orkestrale samples ontstaan er abstracte symfonieën. Hij bouwt voort op klassieke stromingen als minimalisme, modernisme en barok en creëert zo epische klankwerelden. Zijn live optredens zijn intens, verleidelijk en bovenal adembenemend. ‘Mindblowing, like Sunn 0))) playing Ligeti in a galaxy far, far away. SUBLIME’, zo schreef Uncut.
Dadub
Dadub staat bekend om de diepte en menselijke warmte in hun elektronische producties die leiden naar de donkerste uithoeken van techno. Hun producties van sublieme geluidskwaliteit heeft ze tot één van de belangrijkste artiesten van Lucy’s veelgeprezen label Stroboscopic Artefacts gemaakt. Dadub zal een 2 uur durende audiovisuele show spelen met compleet nieuw materiaal.
Dubit
Pier Alfeo aka Dubit is lang betrokken geweest bij het Berlijnse underground technolabel Several Reasons. Vanuit een verregaande interesse in zijn directe omgeving en leefruimte, zal hij een live set spelen bestaande uit diverse klankexperimenten. Betonnen materialen, ambientdrones en mystieke ritmes aangevuld met akoestische elementen zoals contactpiezo, microfoons en field recordings maken het een unieke luistertrip.
RVO
Morph’s oprichter en labeleigenaar van Telemorph - Reggy van Oers (RVO) - zoekt de hypnotische en atmosferische kanten van techno op. Deze avond speelt hij voor het eerst zijn nieuwe album live. Geluidsopnames uit het dagelijks leven transformeren tot een filmische pelgrimstocht, waarbij tegenstrijdige emoties en spanning de dagelijkse sleur proberen te doorbreken.

Murcof, the Mexican electronica Maestro has set the standard for a specific kind of 'sampletronica'. By mixing beats and glitches of electronic minimalism with the orchestral drama of 20th century classical, his output has resulted in very complex abstract musical structures. Murcof’s live performances are spiraling and throbbing, intense and mostly stunning.
Dadub achieves to record sound adding depth and warmth in such a way that they push it into the deepest corners of techno while remaining one of the best live acts in the scene. Their productions with immaculate sound quality make them one of the core artists of Lucy's prolific technolabel Stroboscopic Artefacts. This night they will play a 2 hour long audiovisual show of new material.
According to the latest interests and insights conducted by Pier Alfeo (aka Dubit) regarding Environment and Spaces, Dubit will perform a live set exploring concrete sonorities,
ambient drones, natural landscapes recordings and mystical rhythms, with the interaction of acoustic elements by using contactpiezo, microphones, field recordings, analog and digital gear.
Morph’s founder and labelhead of Telemorph - Reggy van Oers (RVO) will pursue his path into the hypnotic and atmospheric sides of techno. This night he will present for the first time his new album live. Recordings of everyday life altered into a cinematic peregrination, expressing contrasting emotions trying to get out of the tension.
