In 2015, cult Japanese Electronic music label Mango + Sweetrice Records celebrated its 20th anniversary with its founder (singer / producer / musician, and former Japanese child star and MTV VJ, Coppé) joining forces with UK based label Bit-Phalanx Music to present a very special all-day live electronic music / AV event called 20rpm, bringing together many of the classic Electronic music / IDM scene’s most iconic and cult acts for a sold-out, unforgettable day (featuring the likes of Plaid / Bola / Kettel / Christ. (ex-Boards of Canada) / Barbara Morgenstern / Kelli Ali (ex-Sneaker Pimps) / Mixmaster Morris / DF Tram / Nick Luscombe and more).
Following much demand, what better way of celebrating Mango + Sweetrice’s 21st anniversary by returning with 21rpm, and introducing a new annual festival to London.
Taking place on Saturday 1st October 2016 at the beautiful St. Giles in-the-fields Church in Soho, Central London, 21rpm unites yet another impressive cast of iconic, veteran, cult and emerging acts from across the Electronic music spectrum, and ties them together with incredible live visual installations, special guest DJs and much more.
